what's going on heading down to camp there's my sweetheart in front of me okay so just can't say carries get some firewood over there looks like he's running a parachute as well something I like doing get a little good parachute any even got some nice torches yeah even have some torches

awesome benches yep very nice guy what a can thank you like the way the fire burns on these just like after I just feel like hot I it's not like a hot like sweating but it's just like feel like warm and yeah and like you're when your forehead like it just feels like really weird yeah yeah it's warm in here it certainly does yeah mine does too just enough what set up camp in a minute what's up guys how's it going Mitch and my daughter Sophie would need a survival with my buddy Gary is mm-hmm all right let's talk gear real quick you guys love that stuff this is my daughter's snug pack the rocket pack it's actually a bag that I bought 2008 I think it was December 2008 maybe I'll pull this up he's got big Rockets on the side so nice back it's uh fine fumble right it's a 70 liter bag 50 liter forty liter bucket I think 15 liters on each side so 70 liters think this is my bag laughs river possible for kitchen bag yeah why is it kind of kitchen bed call like a black bag or kitchen bag including the kitchen sink yeah it's actually named after I got canoe trips you can you put just your food in this completely Jack out like you can feed like a party of eight out of that thing for like weeks you know fully Jack yeah and it has I took it out it has has an extra spot in the front with snaps before you go put spoons and stuff you can probably spatulas you put them all right there and then so when you're cooking you can really just like snag him with all having a dig in the bag or anything it's a very convenient for that but I just have a Issa as a tool right now in my house I don't like gadgets and stuff

watch your hair or on that porch Sophie I want you to burn your hair yeah don't get too close to that I think hey Danny wish that's what I'm running with that's a new bag for me it's a pretty big bag I think it's like um it says I want to say it's 70 liters by itself and then then they say it's expanded it's like 100 litres I don't know what that means you like completely packed to the gills and press the seams maybe that doesn't seem like a hundred liter bag to me honestly because I have a bigger bag it's a good bag this is its first trip so I'm I don't know too much about it yet you know I mean for like actual usage you know take you a while to learn we'll see we'll see how it does but so far so good I got about 40 pounds in it right now and what's Buckskin strategy essentially to see how long it would take you to find it you can have that feather nice that's yours oh that's my wife call try to hold your arms further out inside no Yuri

my utility power he was a for food pouch reason for a tool pouch in the pouch all sorts of stuff my my girl half a lot a bunch of tea the wet food name I have a sack this is uh this is like my like my Robin Hood color scheme yeah green coyote brown and coyote that are like share with forest version aside so happens I have a blue on the inside so I'll tease you see I keep all the meat and stuff in there that's kind of how I roll food dry in the bag and wet in the haversack right on so tonight we're gonna have cheeseburgers YUM so we need to find a rock so why don't you come with me let's find a rock now we're in the Northeast that means we have lots of rock walls which is awesome man nice flat one what a nice property you have out here Gary blueberries out here and birch sweet fern pine sassafras oak see we got good life so easy to find cooking rocks whenever I go camping the Northeast cuz we have all these walls literally like four miles through the woods and all of the Northeast some of the rocks good if we can get the moss off with this one in this one it might be good oh my god beautiful and it's perfect yeah it looks so beautiful in this movie my secret secret do you ever want to show you shirt off that shirt

I don't need it all sorts of stuff I figure we tasted like it is crazy but we have everything we need yes indeed bitch is a nice man I think I've said that enough made these a little longer such a good feeling to sit down not enough cheese totally pink on the inside still not like dry it out nasty no it looks like it's done to perfection

come on really then you've definitely dialed in your cooking skills on the fire cooking and losing rock yeah yep all right

hey what's up fire what's up its knife is so mean I love it they're just cars easily the front did you call a spatula that's built like a brick outhouse big is solid yeah that's pine so yeah I couldn't make it too thin yeah they post maple birch I could have gotta wear something more delicate but need a little beef wood pine though yeah you do I mean I could easily take that and just snap it I really worked hard but to pick food up yeah good job just jacked up the cheese what kind of cheese is that carry the white stuff till our Barty mmm that sounds good it's very light cheese chopped dill

yeah to cheese's maximum hey hey you sent me with a bunch of embers you put that down my pants put the stick down well hold on I hear you could hurt me hurt yourself man not the middle bite done to my dad he always did for me give me the best bite I got older and I realized what you have been doing all that time do meet the best bait I asked him how how he was able to do that you know doesn't like the bite that you're most excited about was absolutely the best boy I'd rather you have the best bite than me I don't understand that at all he's crazy so I need to take this rock out Sophie because if I don't it's gonna keep getting rocks they fracture easier and this rock will eventually break and be destroyed like it'll break with tonight it will take fast I also don't want it to get too cold too fast so I'm gonna keep it near the fire like right around here somewhere yeah we're still feel a little bit of heat but it's always losing heat now compared to what it was before I want to cool it off mm okay now see how this is this is a good spot right here I'm trying to break this grab this I'm gonna flip it over look aside it's not quite as burn we face down I gather up the embers around the the corners all these pieces no turn off your flash turn off your flashlight for a second and look how beautiful this is you look so beautiful it's all these shavings and slices [Music]

and once it's brewed we're gonna pour that into our other cups I'm gonna teach you why it's good to have two cups so I have two cups and you have two cups because they're both my cup breaks because that meant that the cup is in that's like a pot on the stove right and so you would never try to eat out of a pot on the stove because that's like where the food was just frying or where the water was boiling or whatever you can't put your lips to that you get burned

right so that metal in that cup is very hot you burn your lips if you touch it so then you take just like you do the pot on the stove how I take my tea and I pour it into my cup and let it cool down I take that cup from the cupboard we'll do the exact same thing except instead of the cupboard it'll be from our backpack that's like a cooking pot does that make sense you know see a lot of people just have a single cup and then they they try to drink out of it and it's it's not very comfortable it's too hot and then they have to like wait until the metal cools down for them by that point the tea's kind of kind of like usual things hey you wanted it big many complain it's too hot if you sit on the bench facing the other way don't just warm your back it'll be nice actually my back is cold my front have you noticed that what most next to you when I lay on the ground what I'm sleeping next to a fire that's right like my back is freezing because it's facing the floor my face is hot because it's facing the fire so every once in a while I need to roll over and I warm my back up Gilly statically back warm up nice right and it's like we your spine and like eventually would make it go [Music]
