The Fall | Have You Seen the Ugly Orange Chairs Yet?

Description

The leaves fall around me (almost all of them!) as I work around the log cabin, rebuilding the roof of the woodshed, stacking it full of firewood, and trying out a new log carrying tool as I clean up the logs and firewood piles around the property. Cali sleeps on the dining table bench in the evening while I catch up on all of your comments and review trail camera pictures on my laptop in front of the fire in the cabin.

25 degrees Celsius right now which apparently like the humidity's 95% so it feels like 31 degrees Celsius and you need it's starting to cloud over so it's getting pretty dark right now it's only 4 o'clock but this humidity is building up and it's going to spur a couple of thunderstorms and some showers started first so it's neat it's pretty solid and see over the cabin here it's really getting dark so a matter of time but it's definitely too hot to cook inside the yeah cabin so I'll get a fire going outside now tomorrow it's supposed to be a little bit better starts off warm but then drops as the system moves in a cold front and cools it off so I think down to 14 by tomorrow afternoon and then like 9:00 and overnight temperatures close to freezing or below freezing that's what so I'm looking forward to that getting this firewood in just in time

and then tomorrow I'm gonna shovel gravel into the base of the the asana and start peeling the logs and getting that first row or two started on the sauna

the log cabin sauna so looking forward to getting that done finally oh when that tree needs to come down tomorrow too so I gotta do that leaning tree I still haven't taken it down now that there's no leaves on the trees and we're getting this cold front coming in we'll get a nice wind blowing that tree in the direction that I want although without leaves it won't won't absorb much of the wind energy so we'll have to rope it and pull it over anyway finish up this firewood and get Dinner started good mushroom weather not very good firewood weather

not crazy about stocking this up too tightly with this deafness in them it's been so wet and actually humid that woods pretty wet except this stuff I've tucked over which I haven't moved yet maybe I should move that first in here so that's why I'm starting to pile stuff to there stay within Westside I'm going to leave this part to dry and make sure it's it's fully drying them mold and the mushrooms start growing before I continue stacking the wood on that section it's pretty open wood piles so the the wind will come through and the Sun will hit that far side at least in the later afternoon but it's not gonna I can't expect a win to make it three rows deep from the West and dry it all out so like I said I think I'll stop at this point and finish it off when the weather improves a little bit and I think what I'll do is stack create some firewood pile some some walls around this area so that it's only a road thick it's not gonna have enough storage space for two or three years where the firewood here unless I build a bigger building or in my woodshed keep an area you're not which head in the workshop when I build it keep an area big enough to store firewood as well but I'm going to be putting lots of lumber and stuff in there as I come across wood that's worth I'm splitting into planks rather have that stored inside were dry and season off early go cut off all the dead trees that I've got marked around the property and get towards well at least two years ahead I'd like to get some two years of firewood stored around the cabin
