this is my sleep system for this triplet did a little bit differently just want to try out this Sol emergency bivy in these kind of conditions cool weather and we're gonna get some rain we've got a little bit of shower it's a little bit of rain on it on the first night that's all it is it's like a mylar bag inside I have my I think it's a positive 3 or maybe a 0 degree Celsius rated down sleeping bag by mountain something western mountaineering one of the downfalls of a bivy especially one that doesn't breathe very well this bag is pretty wet from condensation so I'm not real happy about that in fact you can see even the downs wet and through that thin material this is a really lightweight bag so it doesn't have a lot of insulation to begin with so that was inside this pipi and inside the sleeping bag I had this liner the Coolmax travel liner I think it's called that adds like three four degrees it's what I found of a comfort to the bag to the Sleep System and at my therm-a-rest all season therm-a-rest all season that pad sleeping pad and it is like an R 4.5 or something like that so it's actually a really good winter pad and it's getting pretty dirty even though it's almost brand new yeah cuz I'm sleeping on the ground the last couple of trips directly on the ground but that it's a great winter bag her great winter pad and then underneath I put another pad a little bit wider one four limbs that are off the pad and I get for that extra eye rebellion and then for here because I slept by the fire and it was calling for rain and I wasn't covered by that turf I just threw a ground sheet found this actually on a on a portage trail a little ground sheep fits perfectly here so so I was able to incorporate into the system keep the pads there keep the pad dry dry and clean so groundsheet had worked you see busy sleeping bag liner and then I had my down vest jacket and down jacket full jacket down vest and down jacket winter jacket and stick those inside a soft material for a pillow that was that's really comfortable actually that if I get cold I just take it off and take it out of the bag and put that on so am I happy with this no one use two nights and got a rip in it it's not made for permanent use it really is an emergency living but expect to the last longer than that but the problem is you're lying I you start twisting in the night it's all getting pulled and it's bound to happen so I won't do that again
