Winter Bivy and Bushcraft Camp - How to Build a Winter Campfire

Description

http://myselfreliance.com/

Join me, Joe Robinet, Mike Morton and Dustin Feher from History's Alone as we winter camp in Muskoka, Ontario, Canada. We cook massive steaks on the open fire and sleep in four completely different shelters, including me in my Outdoor Research Advance Bivy.

we're way above all from the sausage water - hot dog water wiener water and Michael is this something you do often is this is this a Rick you have a recipe for this yeah it's all good josè tomahawk steaks just a bit ready and I don't mind knowing here I had it hanging a little bit thicker but I had it hanging up above the flavor for a lot longer and I'm just starting to cook mine now probably six thirty or something all right two and a half pounds of prime rib that is all I'm eating today I'm going to feel that all weekend that's good you're a wild man hey guys just getting ready for bed here it's uh I think it's about eleven o'clock maybe 11:30 I have my - thirty sleeping bags a little bit too warm for these conditions it's really damp so I have my baby so it's gonna protect me from the moisture but it's fun and it's gonna be probably a little bit too warm so like I said I'll strip down and hopefully I don't overheat in here I can pull this back and I'll keep it well ventilated so it'll sweat too much in there but should be a comfortable night's sleep got a nice little bed here nice protected spot there's no wind so you know say good night to you and I'll see you in the morning Oh

morning's muta eight o'clock I think it's put one degree Celsius out so just above 32 fahrenheit so not too cold it was a good night's sleep actually so the other guys are just getting up now they're going to join me here at the fire pit we're gonna make some breakfast and then decide what we're doing for the day
