so it's mid-august 2016 and now I've got two days one night to get out to the outdoors and do a solo canoe trip so it decided to do a fairly easy trip and that is to start off at canoe lake or smoke lake and head northeast over to burnt Island Lake spend the first night there and then continue on west over to Potters Lake and then back down to canoe Lake it's a 60 kilometer trip around trip I think it's a reasonable distance to travel in two days when you're solo and it's a great way to see a lot of the park in a short amount of time and you know I saw a lot of wildlife the loons were crazy just loons everywhere on this trip they were a very vocal as I paddled near them so that was pretty special time and didn't see any moose and didn't see all that many people surprisingly for mid-august so a great trip follow along and if you have any questions just shoot me a message and I'll send you some more information so you can do this trip yourself 3:30 p.m. on August 15th 2016

mondo chill lake in a local park I'm headed for burnt Island Lake which I've never been on this is a really popular route I was headed on canoe Lake launching at canoe Lake it was packed like I've never seen it before and that's why I avoid this end of the park is when it was you know like that before but once I got to the port dodge wasn't as many canoes many people are coming across the lake and then once I got into Joe a little less canoes there was actually some vacant campsites and and where I'm headed out to burnt Island even though it's the middle of August peak season because it's Sunday people have already packed up and are leaving so out of 42 reservable sites only 29 are digging today so yeah I think there's 42 total zone I should be good it was like where I want I'm gonna get there a little bit too early but next it's campsite

the only that don't have campsites on it so I'm probably not gonna chance we'll see what time it is when I get to a campsite I don't make that decision this baby Joe Lake now let's do it this is a steep portage from burnt route into J Lake so I'm back in the canoe but it looks like that's temporary this is the driest pond I've been on all this year for sure there's the poor Tosh way over there there's at least a couple of spots there that I'm gonna have to get out and drag my way through I think that would be the least maintained port on I've ever been on in Algonquin Park it's from between Pathfinder and Haines at 350 I think it is and it's barely discernible not too many people walking this one track that look like maybe it was a no I don't know what it was and then moose track and wolf scat pretty remote Lake for the south end of Algonquin not far off of highway 60 just to portage is over I got Bear Lake then I'm into Potter's Lake which is pretty popular Lake that's a pretty little pretty little Lake imagine some people made me visit when they're staying on Potter Lake anyway

this bonito lake on either lake near canoe lake between canoe Lake and T leg actually down by the highway
