Cache Lake, Algonquin Provincial Park

Description

Cache Lake, Algonquin Provincial Park solo three day canoe trip.

On September 26th, the same date as my 2014 solo canoe trip, I departed home at 5:00 am, arriving at Canoe Lake shortly after 7:00 in anticipation of an 8:00 am opening. As is custom, my trip up to the park included a stop at Tim Hortons where I got a tea and breakfast sandwich in Orillia followed by another stop for coffee and a 10 pack of Timbits in Huntsville.

Weather conditions were pleasant with a light south wind. Because I needed to cover a lot of distance today, I left my fishing rod packed away until I hit Cradle Lake and therefore did not take advantage of the good smallmouth bass fishing found on this lake.
