South Canisbay Lake is a glorified beaver pond found between Delano Lake to the north and Kingfisher Lake to the south. When I reached it after finishing the strenuous portage from Delano, I was unpleasantly greeted by low water and a deep, muddy put-in. The 965m portage from Delano rose 38m at the highest point and then dropped 25m back down to South Canisbay Lake at an elevation of 462m.
