hey guys sean james here it's about seven o'clock on thursday night and I was just cleaning up the den here and I had all my stuff out wanted to clean it up before my wife comes down to seize all the oh my carving tools all over the desk here I was just pulling them out and sharpening up some of my tools and so on but realized that no just looking at my channel again today and preparing a couple of videos and realized that I know it's maybe a little bit confusing for people's when i started my self reliance couple years ago it really was you know i didn't know where it was headed other than i was wanted to help people out i had been through some little bit of a tough time with my business and and got through that and then rose to the top you know made a few million bucks and and I just wanted to teach other people how to do that and provide inspiration which is you know why it do though all the inspirational quotes and so on and you know what really just wanted to get people open and teach them how to attain this kind of lifestyle even in that hard time so so I kind of kind of got distracted over the last you know a year or so I've been doing a lot of trips and you know canoe trips and camping trips and so on which is great love doing that obviously it's my passion and I just didn't want people to start thinking that's what my self reliance was all about just me out there canoeing and having a great time it really was about self-reliance independence financial independence self-sufficiency and you know survivalism all of those things that are that are important if you're going to leave a successful life and just realize maybe I got a little bit distracted with having fun and that wasn't conveying the message that I want that I set out to convey and you know part of that is of course some of it is just a hobby but I used to be really passionate about carving so go ahead and to really intake carving of building in carbon furniture and then I started making decoys like this third this one a while ago about halfway finished need to finish carving and then painting it up but as I'm looking at my gear or thinking about I haven't even showcase any of this stuff on my youtube channel which is I think a lot of people are probably here for that a really diverse group got about eight or nine thousand unique people on my to Facebook pages and then we other social media accounts like Instagram and YouTube of course which is what you're watching right now and now I realize that a lot of people are probably here to see some more of that kind of stuff the homesteading stock for the bush craft stuff that I do and not so much the canoeing which I've really been focusing on canoeing and camping this summer so I'm going to get back and do doing a little bit more i'll continue to do those types of trips as well but i'll start putting some more videos in up on my channel that showcase some of the other stuff I'm doing that maybe you're a little bit more interested in so I'm not going to do it right now i'll do another video but i'll show you all my carving tools that i use some of my stuff that i've had for 20-25 years like my more a draw knife some of the tools I used to actually build that cabin so for debarking logs and flattening out logs and for making bows and arrows a longbow and self pose some of these tools got my gouges acts as strop surfing stone so I'll show you all that another video but anyway just thought you should know and really appreciate if you could just comment and let me know what you would like to see from my channel what you like to learn from me and and possibly what what would interest you if you if i did a little a little bit more of so once again thanks for watching sticking with me and be great if I could hear from you blow I hope to connect with some of you like I am have this year already and I'm going it on a couple of trips later this year with some other youtubers that I've met online and yeah just really appreciate everybody tuning in and hope you continue to do so and just please let me know what you'd like to see
