hey this Perry peacock with wilderness innovation the other day I posted a video on youtube about using a vacuum bottle to cook whole wheat cereal and Morita made a comment asking about trying some other things as well with this so I thought today I'd like to give a little trying to using some brown rice so I thought that'd be a little white rice I think would be easy to do so it incidentally for some of my trail mixes and stuff I buy almonds and stuff and some some of my nuts and these kind of pet containers plastic heavy plastic containers and I always wash them out and save them and using for some of my bulk stuff so anyway in here I've got some sweet brown rice and we're gonna try that in our in our vacuum bottle here so let's go ahead and do just like we did before on the wheat and I'm going to take a 1/3 cup here and got this for Christmas and a little stainless steel cups and measuring spoons but stamped in great dimensions on them because really else I've got the stuff wears off and then you can't tell what they are so I'm pretty happy to be trying this out I'll tell you what yeah I guess I'm easily amused so here's a third of a cup going in there like that and I'm gonna do the same thing eight to a teaspoon of salt in there and I've got a pan of boiling water here I'm just gonna pour that into there and nearly fall sad I don't know if you can see that there it's pretty close to full I like to eat leave just a little bit of space in there but screw the lid down good I don't know why I do this shake it up a little bit I think I gotta shake everything up I don't know but anyway that's all there is to it for now and we'll come back in the morning and we'll check this thing out and see what happened to Ric see if the brown rice cooks up as well as the weakness so we'll check this thing out in the morning overnight let's um let's just see what we've got here some scuba lid hopefully you've probably seen the bit the other video on what we did with the fleet which works very very well with this yeah let's just pour this out this is sat overnight spilled a little there and now I chose to do the brown rice because thought that's it's gonna be a lot tougher to cook I know you could do white rice I don't think you have a problem well the brown rice takes more cooking so let's see kind of how that goes

I want to pour I'm going to pour off some of this water here let's just see if this thing cooked up good I don't doesn't look like it doesn't look like that it's um puffed out as much as the shed not didn't I mean it's edible you know I was in a situation I can eat this I can I can deal with it but I'd rather not eat it it's not that good I mean you know just softened it but but anyway it was a try everything doesn't always work but

but you know it works so so well on wheat which is so hard such a hard green that that well maybe it work on rice but I'm thinking rice because I think it just needs it probably needs the heat for a longer period of time than the wheat does in order to make it kind of puff out and get softened all the way but you know you never know till you try it but anyway there's my review on cooking rice and a vacuum bottle I wouldn't do it

I poured in boiling water and left it overnight and that didn't that didn't do it so I guess we can say once I figure something else out we can say hey I know something thanks for watching and stay tuned for some more videos and we'll try some more fun things here and there see what the heck works out so have a great day and we'll see you later
