This common brushlike plant occurs all over the Southwestern U.S. Indians and early settlers used this plant as a refreshing tea and for it's reported medicinal uses. NOTE: This plant may contain varying amounts of ephedrine, use with caution, simple teas not generally associated with reactions, test and research before making strong solutions. A wide range of medicinal effects are reported, the most commonly accepted are; cold, allergy, and hayfever relief. Medicinal effects commonly from strong teas, or from dried powdered stems, seeds and roots. Officially known as Ephedra viridis coville.

hello perry peacock with your wilderness quick tip my hair in the desert southwest and show you a plant here that is a very common in ute Idaho Arizona and Nevada the end on this is called nickname Mormon tea or Brigham T is some collet it doesn't really have a regularly fee structure to it it just looks like long green shoots that grow up on it and the early earlier settlers would take can break off pieces of it and stick it in boiling water and steep it for a nice soothing tea so if you're out in the desert Southwest and want a nice refreshing tea this is the answer right here you can't hardly miss it Mormon tea
