hey perry peacock here with woodland of salvation and today I've got a quick tip for you we used to do quick tips a few years ago but kind of got away from it and anytime you see W wqt and are at our title means wilderness quick tip so anyway today I wanted to mention just a little bit about shelter when you're out in the wintertime you know a lot of times when you're out you know it's nice and cozy of the day and at night it might just turn off just frigid and some kindly find ourselves I'm prepared so let me just give you the big grand key of dealing with wintertime cold I got my cozy low chair here today anyway the big grand Keith the big secret the big whatever of how you deal with with a wintertime shelter say in the snow or whatever if it's 20 below zero i'll be talking fahrenheit here miss 20 below zero fahrenheit and he went snowshoeing and you're you're equipped for it and while you're working when you stop and rest or go to sleep that energy output the heat output of your body decrease immensely so the big the big key is most people can deal with say a temperature of 30 degrees or you know close to zero Celsius you know with without too much gear you can you can deal with it maybe you're not totally cozy but you can live with it well the real key is make yourself a shelter that you can raise the temperature I change the temperature from 20 below outside to say 25 30 35 degrees in your shelter so what you want to do is you want to make a shelter if you're only one person you make a purse shoulder for one person if you cut out snow blocks and stand them up like this and then crawl you know length flies through like you're crawling in a sleeping bag then you do that if you're making a snow cave or something you make it just big enough for you get into you know you might have room to set up just room too

light in there close that off and let your body heat rays that temperature in there keep the wind out and you can find yourself in a much more survival survivable situation if you watch our videos you notice a lot of times I don't I know I sleep on the ground on the surface a lot of times in the winter I'm usually fine with that and you know if situation is a little more severe than now might find myself making some kind of a shelter change that temperature from 22 below outside 2 2 20 or 30 above and and change your comfort level change your survivability this is perry peacock wilderness innovation will be showing you some more actual footage of doing some of these things as we get through the winter so you take care of a great day and enjoy your time outdoors I might get me a cup of hot chocolate have a great day bye you
