hey Perry peacock here with wilderness innovation and up here showing you a new product the newest element in our poncho shelter system something else that designed specifically to go with using our poncho all right so I've got my hammock pitched up I've got my under quilt in here if I want to snap that to it it's spring of the year right now it's just a little on the breezy side so we don't have a lot of mosquitoes out but last night camping when the wind died down oh man it was so thick you could you needed gills to breathe the skeeters are out bad I'll just unroll this thing and the the bug net is 10 feet long so we're just working on kind of one size fits all so even if you have a PSS XL poncho if this is designed to be able to work over that all the way down to our normal size a regular size PSS and of course these will be available in all of our regular colors that we offer and so just like all of our other gear for the most part we make these things to order so your gear is fresh fresh off the production line so right here on the very peak of it we have a little hood here give a little hooded piece that holds our webbing or tie outpoint webbing and inside the hood down here there's a grommet that you can see right there and so he may so your ridgeline will go through that grommet and the grommet hole is covered by this little hood right here I've got my ridgeline up and I've got some toggles in the end to hold it in place and typically what I found so

fires I usually like to run the ridgeline of our CBN about 12 inches higher than where I tie off on the tree for the for the hammock and for me I like to do the hammock usually about armpit high so that's about how high I go on the tree so then I'm about nose high or so or a little more about eye height to where I tie off the cbn so now the next thing will be to tie it off so that it pulls out and we have we have to tie outs on each end of the ridgeline area we have eight more time outs on the perimeter

so that'll allow you to depending on weather conditions you could probably just anchor four corners a lot of times other times if the weather's worse you may utilize all of the tie out so you see we've got our canopy a one-piece canopy ten feet long it has a bug net that's all the way around it's a drop bug net so that way it's dropping straight down to the ground all the way around allowing you to be in there to have some space in there no zippers no poles no snaps no velcro none of that kind of stuff just simple simple simple very easy to work with here's one of the cool things about this shelter is it allows me to be inside the shelter not only for purposes of sleeping but it also allows me the opportunity to use the shelter with a full sized camp chair or a camp stool or something like that it allows me a it allows me a way to be able to use this as a bug-free environment for doing other things whether I'm sitting on the ground working on something sitting in a chair on a stool something like that I'm actually in a fully enclosed bug shelter with a rain canopy over my head now the footprint of this shelter is approximately four feet wide by about ten feet long and so that's kind of my ground footprint so that gives you an idea of what kind of space I have inside of here so you can see if I'm in here like this I've got clear out to the sides like this of coverage overhead have cut coverage behind me on the other side of me we put solid you can see we put solid panels in the end walls of the canopy to help protect from rain and such coming in directly from that way just to give a little extra protection so here's one of the features all of the edge tabs on this are we're trying to avoid any kind of stitching up into the main body of it and we want it to be able to extend these tabs a little bit so these are triangular shaped pieces here that are actually stitched to the underside rolled over and stitched again on a top side so the double stitched and then your nylon these are nylon quality nylon tabs right here the tabs themselves are rated over 400 pounds tensile strength so it's a very nice very nice sturdy setup but still kind of leaving things clean and nice and simple all right so one other one other final thing about this CBN as we all we're allowing the bug net to be tied up to the canopy so if you have an instance where the bugs aren't so bad or whatever and you just want to use the canopy portion you can withdraw and tie off the bug net up to the canopy itself so now you got a rain canopy or shade canopy over you and your open air for any coming and going underneath you know in the instance where you don't have any bugs don't worry about so it gives you just another bit of option here on the bug net so as you can see pitched up like it is this makes a very nice shelter it's not really a replacement for our PST series of tarps because they have a whole different function especially for perhaps long-term camps in longer term camps and inclement weather you know you know being able to set up a number of different types of shelter besides this this is kind of dedicated to this one type of shelter now though you could set this up even at varying heights and you could use it without a hammock you could sleep on the ground or on a cot or something like that so it does have a lots of other purposes obviously but it is dedicated to this shape unlike our PST tarps which have thirty to fifty different ways they can be set up so this gives the dedicated used primates that goes with our PSS our poncho shelter system and so it's a dedicated piece for that system although you may find many other uses for it that are that are very effective as well so Perri peacock wilderness innovation inviting you to let us build you they canopy bug net or CBN and start your bug free rain rain free life out in the outdoors have a great day you
