right so now I've put this set of cooking sticks up on here this is like a great build that you build a grill kit I've put together here a couple of connectors and now you see I'm 3/4 of the way around the fire pit and I can put pots and pans and different places you know wherever wherever it works I can put a couple there I can put another over here I can put something there I mean there's a lot of different options I have I can put something a little farther from the fire if I want to keep it warm but but not actually be cooking so build a grill kit is basically made up of cooking campfire cooking sticks and it adds connectors in it and it gives you multiple sets at the same time so it makes it so you can do a lot of fun stuff so right now I got to get this get that water cooking and get it get it hot or some rice so we'll get that all rolling here and then we'll get set here and get our meat cooking will be in good shape all right so I got my water going for my rice I got the rice I need right there what I'll let that get going here and then we'll and we'll just kind of let it go just kind of let it cook and what's that rice gets close close and I'll do my meat and all that sort of thing should be awesome all right we got a we got a rice going I got excuse me got a rice going I got me a cup of mocha in here

and once the rice gets close and we'll get us some some chunks of steak going and let me show you something I really love and this is easy these sourdough rolls and I I like to pick these thing up at our store at our local grocery market and I get them off the clearance rack when they're half off and these things are really nice because they have that sourdough flavor it's actually some people we know actually supply the sourdough start to the bakery one that they've kept going for more than 40 years continuously and what I like to do I like to carry these camping with me because these rolls are it's a hard bread so they're not going to easily get mashed or anything like that I can just stick them in my pack in a in a bag and I'm good to go I just tear off a hunk and eat it but what I like to do is I like to take them and stick them like that over fire and I like to toast them so to toast just the just the outside edge a little bit it has kind of the same texture as a as an English muffin toasted so they're really good I like to just you know the sourdough has its own flavor anyway I like to just do that and then kind of eat off the stuff that's toasted and put it back on and and go again let's start to toast a little bit there take a few minutes but under minute or so but that's one of my favorite things the munch I'm just you don't like I say you don't really have to put anything on it but if I got some gravy or something like that you can stop up some gravy with it after you toast it like that so I got a toast it like that

oh man I love that you know like the sourdough bread has just kind of a little tangy consistent flavor to it and I just like to eat off maybe this is crude I don't know how I eat which I just ate off of a toasted part no put it back down there and I'll toast the next little bit and I'll do that tell us hold things done so I got continuous toast here that's very good we got to get into my deep fries now get out the meat I think this thing think my door probably froze on whoo oh there goes my door my cooler door there we are there's our meat yeah yeah you know I got to do something fun as well I'm gonna cut up some meat go at the breakfast this morning so one of the reasons I put the meat in my little funny freezer thing is because that I just left it out it would have been frozen solid I thought well putting it in there will have a little bit of the insulation from the snow so I'm just gonna cut this into some chunks you can kind of heat up for breakfast this morning and the rest of that piece I'll just take home so there we are okay and one of the nice things I like about the cooking sticks setup as a builder grill here is that see I got three things keeping some mocha warm I got rice finishing up I got meat cooking so I'm cooking three things at once all the while I still got my campfire one other thing to point out see my boughs I got over here.i I used those as part of my bedding last night on the snow so I'm not gonna waste them so so what I so I'm just throw them down on the snow so I can sit to the side here I'm not sitting in the snow and now I can get busy cooking and all that I can sit right here I'm not in the snow and I don't have to carry in any kind of stool or anything now we've got things in hand I put I put the rice over here in the in the pan with steak and then there's kind of just kind of letting that probably got too much water in here I think you're supposed to measure stuff or something but you know I'm just I'm just crudely doing going where no man has gone before mom my gravy galore here yeah we'll stir that up and then we'll put it out over here let that warm up a little bit and then everything over here is looking good a couple a couple pieces of meat just just finishing up getting cooked on that edge and then we're good to go I'm gonna let that warm up a little and we'll stir it and pretty soon we'll be eating here all right that's some nice thick gravy that's what I'm looking for here now I'm gonna pour that gravy over the rice and they have to invite some other hikers over to eat this I'm just gonna eat it right out of that pan guess whatever I don't eat I'll probably let the squirrels eat well so so here I am I've got my breakfast done or lunch or brunch or whatever it is so I got rice I got brown country gravy and I got chunks of steak in here some sirloin browned up a little bit and now I took some sourdough let's get cutting me off a little slice and put it on the cooking sticks here and I so now I've got a little bit a little bit of toast sourdough toast mmm awfully good right there oh my gosh I got a little juice from the steak in the gravy too good you know it took me a few minutes longer than just a freeze-dried pouch or something but this nice to have some nice seasoned rice and and some little bit of steak chunks and stuff like that now what a nice thing about camping in the wintertime and one thing I love is you've got a built-in refrigerator you don't have to be worrying about stuff getting too hot or whatever so I like to really take advantage camping in the winter and take food with me it's hard to take during the summertime no this is not meat is good no rice and gravy there's our there's sourdough rolls toasted and dipped in that baby's about as good as all of it that's them that's about as good as all of it put together right there oh man is good good eatin well I'm I'm really loving it here this morning I'm cooking I got my campfire doing just enough temperatures here about 22 degrees they're not awfully cold or anything but you know fires just enough for what I need and I cooked my meal three pots at the same time over the campfire so I'm not doing anything extra I'm sitting here by the campfire enjoying a campfire cooking at the same time and eatin and this this is sourdough not toasted sourdough rolling that gravy I swear I could just eat that that would be good my lowest meats pretty good I don't want my butcher to think

I didn't like his meat I told him I was coming up here and I needed to I needed some meat for this I got just the stuff for you so he fixed me up anyway hey this is Perry peacock with wilderness innovation absolutely loving the outdoors love and winter camping it is just so much fun I just can't stand it and and I hope I hope all you guys get out much as you can oh get out every season of the year enjoy your time out be safe have a good time try some different things and get a chance to try our cooking sticks they'll make campfire cooking a breeze take care I'll see you around on the next go-around
