Underquilt Sleeping Bag

alright so here is the whole little setup right here now so i had so i now have so i now have this thing set up here with an under quilt so the insulation can't get squished by me laying in it I've closed both ends off so the breeze can't get down between me and the under quilt and the whole system is integrated so it's designed to work together so when I put this thing together everything everything fits together and everything works together it's designed to do that now I'm going to do one more thing here I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to go ahead and put the the polartec fleece liner inside of here in conjunction with the whole rest of this so here's the whole under quilt now this is a PS SL size match the PSS el Pancho and and so anyway let's say I'm out somewhere and I I'm not in an area of trees or whatever or whatever i'm going to be laying on the ground well I can use this under quilt as a blanket this under quilt is the very same setup as our regular full-size PSB series survival blankets so i can use this just like a blanket because it is one we've just made this one size to fit and to integrate with the poncho so let me show you how i can turn this into another type of sleeping system I'll take this and fold it in half alright so you see we've we've got draw strings here we've got snaps now at first at first glance you'd say will hold it those snaps don't go together well we don't really want to put them together like that we want to roll this up so we roll that up like that these snaps are double-sided so now I snap that too together roll that up and snap that together and I just continue on up the side here okay so what that does it helps to create a little bit of a flange in here too just to help kind of seal it off a little bit I mean this isn't intended to be a sleeping bag I don't really like sleeping bags anyway but we're kind of making one here so what I can do now since I have the drawstring I just suck that drawstring all the way down like that and down like that so now I have closed off the foot end of this thing so when I get in here my feet aren't going to slide out the bottom so now i can come on up through here now i've added an extra snap in here where the where the shoulder strap normally goes on the poncho when we do the fleece we don't have a snap there but on this we've actually put another snap in here so that we don't have a big gap in that one area so that's not too bad you know for a makeshift sleeping bag type deal out of the under quote so now the under quilt can be an inner quilt or an inner liner it can be an under quilt it can be a sleeping bag it can be a blanket this gets wet or whatever it's not a big it's not a big issue single dry really fast I can sleep on damp ground with this without a ground cloth underneath me it's very very nice I mean like I say it's the same thing as our as our personal survival blankets just sighs and designed to fit with the poncho one used as a hammock this is very nice for camping it's very nice as a prepper item to be prepared to throw in a vehicle a bow to a plane you know an ATV a four-wheel-drive pickup
