Sub Zero Camp with our Blankets No Fire No Tent

Description

Just having a little fun out in a camp in the winter slightly below Zero F. I know it's not for everyone, but I just love sleeping in blankets rather than bags. Our survival blankets are light, breathable, and handle moisture very well. I really prefer simplicity in winter camping. Fire makes things mucky, setting up shelter is time consuming, so when I can I like to just plop down and sleep. Did a little temperature monitoring on this camp, inside vs outside for comparison.

hey man I guess this morning I don't know what you can I don't you can see me here cameras pretty close only about arm's length away but I nice and cosy inside of here let me tell you what got these personal survival blanket I just wrapped up in a couple of those and that out here a nice cozy night very comfortable in my my inside temperatures just before I opened up here was 71 degrees so nice and cozy on the inside maybe maybe a little bit too warm in a way but I've been started out last night when I showed up here little after 11 and it was four below outside four below Fahrenheit and got in here and about after about 10 minutes of being inside my temperature in interior was about 43 degrees and that's not that's not against my body just air temperature inside of here why my interior temperatures here varied from what I started out 43 my highest temperature during the night was as almost 81 inside of here the air kind of my environmental temperature inside on the outside temperature the coldest that got was almost nine below zero and but through the night most that's most the time I was checking it set it's not pretty much at about seven below through most a night so you know not too bad but then very very nice cozy leap I just as comfortable I could be in here very nice I don't even want to get up I need to but that things to do today but it was a house really nice and cozy comfortable I can't complain a bit about it but let me get going here I'll get up I'll get up actually and kind of show you a little then show you a little about what was going on here what I was doing this is my camp I just packed in about quarter after 11:00 last night it's about four below zero when I got here and I just used my snowshoes and dropped into here and packed it down pretty good and then threw down my gear there we got I tried us I wanted to try I did three of our psvr personal survival blankets I got one of each size it's a on the outside and I just laid them out and fold them half and basically got in on the on the outside was the large and the next layer in was the tall and the inside layer was regular and I just piled into there and snoozed I set up a little program for the night so I'd be kind of be checking how good eight or nine times during the night or so to kind of see conditions and all that sort of thing so I just got in here and it's got in here and how to had a nice time it was nice and cozy through the night fact I didn't want to get up at all this morning and I set up my camera tripod over here with the probe going out so I could monitor the outside temperature and then I had another master unit inside so I could monitor not my body temperature would just the air temperature inside well unfortunately my battery's dying on me quick here so I got to be fast basically what I've got here is my large survival blanket the tall survival blankets next then right there is the regular size I just folded them half and I just crawled and be clamp that's how and that's how I hatched I slept for the night and a very cozy and warm underneath that I wanted to normally I'd use boughs and stuff but where I'm at right here I really can't use boughs on this property so have a blue foam pad on the bottom and then I have a couple layers of some old church pew bench foam here about two inches worth under that everything here went on top of that then that's it and that's it I had a very nice cozy night here even down a below zero outside inside I was I maintained the environment inside nice all the way inside as you saw at the beginning now like a cocoon type deal inside usually about 67 to 72 73 or four degrees inside through the night I did get as high as about almost 81 at one point inside I just set up to monitor my temperature the temperatures are periodically through the night about 9 or 10 different times and but it was very cozy very nice very warm we're sitting about seven below right now and I'm going to pack everything up here I got to go to work today so it's it's a what is it New Year's Eve today so that'll work for a little while today for family rights but I want to just get out last night and mess around with these survival blankets about half way through the night I got it I was got to go to the bathroom and when I got out I noticed I was only under one layer of blanket the other two were laying back to the side of me I guess I can't flip them off during the night but I was still fine even at that so not bad these things work pretty nicely and I like the idea of a blanket versus uh versus a bag really it's you know you got more freedom move around and stuff like that getting in and out you just just like getting out of bed just get in out the side no zippers to fool around with or anything well anyway back to work loving it hisses I've been really fun went for a little jog up the up the road here about a half a mile and back in these in these booties that are really not meant to be out by themselves but I love those thing my feet are so toasty warm it's just wonderful we have a great day enjoy the outdoors like I do Perry peacock wilderness innovation have a great day
