here we are on part three of our little series of videos on the off-road survival kit a little bit of detail about it and we're going to make some detail about each component in the video about each thing I believe as time goes on just as we got cut off on the last deal as talking about the the I was talking about the plastic we've got in here it's a linear hihi high-strength plastic it's thin but very strong we use that for a solar still they kept it in the ground of course we'll show a video on all this but you pit in the ground put this over put your cup down in there and distills moisture out of the ground hits the plastic and that moisture just drips down to the center a little stone in the middle comes down to the tip drops into the cup and now you can get some water that way not not a real lot you might get a pint or quart a day that way depending you can also put mash up some green matter and put inside of there let the Sun kind of evaporate some of that moisture out of that also if you have water some polluted water or whatever you can dig a little trench around the outside of it all and pour the water into there and let seep into the ground and the Sun will distill all that up out of the ground as well if you had salt water or something like that you could do the same thing poor that around there let it seep in and distill some some fresh water it also this can be used if you got a storm coming or whatever you can get yourself a little bit of a bowl-shaped depression somewhere or line up some stones around put this put this plastic lay it out put it down in there let the let the rain or whatever wash into there and fill that basin up so thank you that kind of as a catch basin so that's another use for it you could also use your your poncho for that or you could use even your survival blanket for that a lot of different uses a lot of these things we already talked about the bottle nalgene brand very high quality some of the best bottles in the world very good had I've got I've got some Al Jean bottles that I was using in the early early 80s then kicked around some of them been sitting in the Attic I mean different things and and still darn good bottles I mean I can't say enough good about nalgene Brandon here again you know you're out I don't know wilderness you got a survival kit some of the essential things that are in there are very critical you want to make sure you've got good solid equipment you don't want to have a bunch of junk that's not going to work when you need it the cup there's been a bunch of people do some videos there's a lot of kids out there that are utilizing the bottle in the cup and all that sort of thing that's really nothing new this cups a little that's been used quite a bit anyway I've been in the fire and I like to build a small fire I mean you really don't you really don't need a big fire outside I mean you know you just got yourself a small small little fire like this it's you don't have to gather the whole forest of wood to keep it going keep it going with just a little bit of would get you some reflectors situation around there like with the emergency blanket or whatever or some rocks or you know whatever it'll help hold the heat in and kind of reflect it back on to you you can be it could be very cozy we're going to do something we got some great videos planned for that but a small little fire and you just put some put some water and some few you know find some roots or some leaves or whatever you want to put in here and steep up to a tea or something like that you just shove all that in there you got your little fire just cram this thing right into the side of the fire and just just let it go or if you get a little bit of coals just set it right in the coals you know it doesn't hurt this cup at all I mean I've been doing it this this thing works great some other things i should mention that i found was kind of fun to do is get some some flavor packets this is from like some ramen noodles or whatever i just took the flavor packet out of there and throw it my cup and then if I'm cook it up some water i got some distilled water i got some water that doesn't taste all I good you know sometimes you get that throw some of that in there and hey it'll make it taste good and you'll drink it down and you know the important thing is you know getting yourself hydrated and drinking enough liquid missile really really tastes good you know when you're out there to have some some flavor in it some other things you can do and which I've done is you know a little bit of apple cider mix or something like that or if you like chocolate or tea or whatever just throw a little destroido packet of that in the bottom of this I got three things in here you can put a bunch if you want and you just slide the bottle in on top of that it doesn't matter i mean it works great i love this kid it's great things in here that are important are very very reliable i've been using this kit use it when i'm out with camping with the family hiking in the mountains backpack and whatever you know i use this thing all the time I take it with me when I go on my own little Scouts and hikes and that sort of thing and a I'll pull over on a hike somewhere and I'll just break this thing out and start using something I I strongly believe that you can't just buy something carry it with you and expect that when the time comes that you're going to be able to know how to use it you gotta practice this stuff if you don't practice it you're in trouble you just you got to practice a gift familiar with all the stuff use it personalizes kit throw some of the some of the things in there that you want you know add some things to it medical items comfort items whatever you know make the kick your own butt anyway this is our we're calling it our off-road kit it's kind of the big brother to our the first kit we started with the real survival kit and it's basically the same thing minus the bottle in the cup it's everything else but but it all fits an air very nicely very good kid i love this thing this is really one of one of the favorite things I've

along with but anyway there's a detailed set of videos looks like this is going to be three videos detailing the kit and like I say I'm going to have a whole video on how to how to use the space blanket there's a bunch of different things you can do with it we're going to show you how to do them we're going to show you some other things you can do with your poncho we're going to show you a bunch of things you can do with your paracord your fish hooks all that sort of thing we're going to show you some things you can do with your duct tape I'm going to show you some other things going along with your fire starter kit and all that sort of thing and we're going to show you some other options of ways you can configure this kit once you start using it in a survival situation you actually have some other things you can do with the kit beyond what you even see here so we're going to show you all that in the upcoming videos I'm very excited about all this this is just this is very cool this is just common everyday stuff but you got to start with a good quality core and build on it from there and this is this a good quality core to start with something you can rely on perry peacock wilderness innovations will see on the upcoming videos have a nice day bye
