Checkin out the Emberlit Stoves

well perry peacock here with wilderness salvation and going to show you a new product that we're carrying we actually did a review on this thing I said a year and a half or two years ago when this stove first came out and we decided to go ahead and carry them on our website if we're adding a few things on there to give some of our some of our people some additional choices and that sort of thing show you the in Berlin ultra lights though this particular one is made out of stainless steel and I just show you a little bit about it here real quickly and then we'll have some clips in here about using it in some of those sort of things so the stove is actually made up of four panels like this which are the side panels and n11 bottom panel and this one right here I call this the front this has the feed over if you feed the fuel through the side and this one it's made out of stainless steel this particular this particular model here is about 12 12 and a half ounces so it's you know it's 30 light and I was not having enough to really to really hard they know this they even have it so we'll just we do three like this and this thing is the embossed a little bit here on the sides now the original version that we showed you was not embossed this one also has these little indentions embossed in here that helped the stove to lock together which the original one didn't do so now even though i don't have the front panel on yet everything is locked in place then it will hold together just find like that and and from our first review the slots in here have been widened up a little bit so it makes it just gether really nice you don't have to fight it at all the last panel you just kind of tweaked the stove cock I just a hair everything slides together now that's all in there it's ready to use it does also come they'll with some cross pieces on the top here for smaller if you're using like a cup or something instead of a pan or skillet so basically there is the stove right there very nice very nice little setup they they also make a titanium version of this one which we've opted at this point not to carry that one because they make them a mini version which is slightly smaller than this out of titanium and we're carrying that would be kind of looking at if you're going for the lightweight this stove will do pretty much everything this will do just sighs just a little bit smaller which I'll show you in a second and and so you know we'll just I just put this one together for you this one has holes in the upper upper right-hand corner here where you can put a small mini carabiner through there to hold all the parts together or you know whatever you want to do and it slides together the same way as the big stove just kind of on a smaller scale and so I'll just just go ahead and slide this one together here for you and I've uh I've used this one a good bit already it's already had and you liked it I liked to take it with me because this one is so like it's for four point four or five ounces for this stove so it's like you know why not get it even if you're even if you're not planning on using it it's it's so light who cares you know just throw it in there anyway just add it and and so that's I just throw it in my pack anyway so alright so there's that still I'll put together it's the same way works the same way as you can see just just a hair just a hair smaller a little bit narrower a little bit shorter and you know for good going out you've got you know two people or something this stove will work just fine with put a six inch skillet or seven inch skillet on top if you want to you know put a little small pot or something a couple quart pot on their works just fine with that so like this little stove right here it's about twice the money of vinson due to the cost of titanium everything but very nice stove and either one of them is cool to go with this one here it only you know 12 12 ounces or so and I'll perfectly find it's sturdy enough I can I can stand on the top of the stove I want to so it's you know it's fairly fairly sturdy the way it's constructed and away everything walks together so there's there's two stoves from in Berlin the ultralight and the and the mini titanium and we have them both on our website and we'll show you now some video clips of the stoves in use so that sort of things so you can kind of get an idea that did a little quickie camp here with us small one person tarp alongside the creek the umbrella worked very nicely here sits right in the entrance of the of the shelter they're out of the weather it's a little bit rainy and on what this day but it worked very nicely like that one of the other nice things about is the portability of it if you need to move it out of the entrance or move it around somewhere just grab the sticks there in the fuel port pick up the stove move it around wherever you want to set it back down and you know and you're good to go I like to like the m berlett stove by filling it full of small twigs and then put some fine tintu right inside the fuel feed port then strike strike a spark or that into there let it get started a little bit and today some of the on this occasion some of the few most feels a little on the damp side so once it got start a little bit I just set it down on the ground right there and kind of let the wind do its thing and kind of let it get going on its own and as you see here once it's got going well on its own then I go ahead and and feed put the sticks on the side and the fuel port so we're ready for the real time cooking with the thing once I've got two or three sticks in there going then I'm I'm actually ready to cook and I can put my skillet or pot or whatever on there and and get started on it it's very it's just the right size for you know say about a six-inch pot or skillet and as you can see here fits really nicely in front of my little little tarp shelter there to kind of keep me from the sprinkles that were happening that day and and i went ahead and cook some sausage some hash browns megs kind of mixed all that stuff together and got that going and you kind of watch the sticks and as they start burning down just start feeding it back into their ideally about finger size or a little bit bigger than your depending on how big your finger is is actually a pretty good sized stick there and so here I've just eaten right out of the skillet through some a little bit of some spicy seasoning on my stuff there I'm ready to go got a little cup on there now heating up some some drinking water for some for a nice nice warm drink on this day I'm just sitting on a sandbar right by the creek the Ember like stoves work really nice when you set up a camp kitchen such as this which gives you a place well up off the ground that you can cook while you're standing up be all down in the ground I'm cooking up some stinging nettle leaves here for a little bit of some hot greens everything and as you can see that works really nice with the little m berlett stove either one of them right here on a camp kitchen counter like this incidentally the stinging nettles are very nutritious high in magnesium iron cow

sium very good flavor really nice and the m berlett stove is just fabulous for when you're out in the ad in the woods and you pick up something like that and I want to cook it up so you'll just think about using the m berlett stove for things like that it's a it's a very great way to use it one final thing about the in Berlin stoves both the many and the ultra light is the ability to use them very effectively with something such as a transia spirit burner those those burners fit right inside the stoves and although you'd think well the height is the height is too much for the pot above the stove but actually with the way the m berlett stove is configured it works very nicely we've cooked pancakes in a skillet on top corn bread cooked stews and all that sort of thing and it works very fine now you can work the simmering and all that sort of thing with it so actually actually both of the in Berlin stoves both sizes actually work very nicely with with it with a spirit burners with and now it's siesta time wilderness innovation thanks for watching have a great time
