Poncho A Frame Shelter with Our PSSL

ESS many other ways you can use it in this instance we've got it set up as a frame tarp shelter over a over a bedding set up and and it works very nicely like that tied to the tree on one end and to a frame of two fork posts on the other corner corner tabs on the poncho or are staked out with bank line and we made a wilderness mattress bed basically willow willows and that sort of thing with a with our new personal survival blanket on there and multicam color there over top of all that nice thing that the betting the mattress type setup gives a nice spring effect so it's very comfortable to lay on get you up off the ground whether it's wet or cold or whatever so the we won't talk too much about the the mattress itself will do that on another video but the betting is basically laid in a herringbone fashion which kind of ties it all together and keeps it all spring in nice but then you throw your blanket or sleeping bag or whatever on top and I like to use the blanket myself and we'll talk about that another video more that works very nice under the a-frame setup of the poncho now in this instance I just tight around the tree on this end and ren the ren the parachute cord through the middle of the the poncho and then to adjust the positioning and to tighten the to tighten it on top i used a prusik loop here on on and and that pressing loop i can pull on that and it pulls pressure on and keeps the the top of the poncho taught also on this is the wind the side the wind comes pretty strong on i added two more tiles here tied to the tabs there to pull on this side of it to counteract the the effect of the strong winds that blow pretty consistently you also notice on the this poncho is one that has the pocket version on it the hood

pocket here's a in covering the hole for the hood there's a snap on the chest and there's also snap in the top of the hood here and I don't know if you'll actually see it here but it's actually in the top of the hood right there and that snaps down that covers the head hole and then you just pull the drawstring tight and that pretty well seals out all the weather and everything so that works works very nicely there alright so this whole setup is is obviously the a-frame all the corners are tied out and on the on this end i'm using two sticks that have forks in them leaning those together and securing them those down with the rope and or the parachute cord so that gives me my tie in on this in now the other end i used a prusik loop for the ridge of the poncho and on this end i put a wood toggle through the tab on the end and wedge that through there tightly and that actually secures it pretty well to keep tension on it it's not quite as good as a presa clue but you know a lot of sometimes i use it just because it's quick and easy so that's just another little idea that goes along with this thing so now this whole setup is is tight off between the the tree and the and those a for a frame post as our sticks here and then i come from there with a separate cord down to a tent stake and this court here I just wrapped around tied it off with a quick little not I get down here and take it off and I used i did a video year two ago on the trucker's not that we used on in my family grown up as a beekeeper and i just adapted that in line here which gives me the ability to use kind of a pulley type force to add significant additional pressure or tension to pull this cord very very tight so that's what I did to to tension the ridge line so it's very tight and very snug so anyway so there's the setup very nice very easy very quick just another little tip another way you can use your PSS or poncho
