perry peacock with wilderness innovation up the canyon to the big big script big spring hollow up here come up here into the snow there are some areas here especially on the on our north sides that have four or five inches of snow on the ground we're in an area here that's pretty heavily populated by pines and fact they've shielded a lot of snow from even getting into here so we stopped them figuring build us a little fire and have some hot chocolate so let's get on over to the fire here sean is over here feeding the fire working on that and trying to build a little build up a little bit of coals here and some stuff here so we can get us a little hot chocolate going shot is having a blast it's a little nicer to have a little fire now isn't it is that we're out in the area a little earlier that is pretty exposed in the bottom of the canyon and the breeze was was quite cool so this feels a lot better up here in the trees but ok we got Shawne is getting her first little experience of doing this little thing up here camping and hanging out in the mountains and she's just pulling out the the stainless steel cup from the kits here we brought several kit bags with us some of them will use ical just fill it like this white one right here i just put water in it instead of a first aid kit or a survival kit or anything like that but we use the same kit bags and bottles for a lot of different things survival kit and first aid kits and water carriers and all that sort of thing so she's just going to fill these guys up and you're going to get them ready to go onto the fire here we got our fire going pretty well and got got good bed of coals burning down there and we're going to go and get us a little platform a coal set up here and get them ready to go in there okay so now we've got Perry he's going to be putting the hot choc or the hot water into the fire see how he's got it sitting right down there words kind of like a level bed so we get our water pot for our hot chocolate pretty awesome setup isn't it get it boy that's a better Cole those things are hot really hot coals it's about all I can do to set those cups in there all right very good few minutes that'll be boiling so here's shut up the waterfall we kind of like it and he's gonna try not to fall in it look at all that ice in there they look at all that ice in there you want to take it back yeah we got some more of those little ice things over there okay we all we just got back from a little run a little jaunt down by the by the waterfall there and came back fire died down a little bit and our water for our chocolate is nice and toasty so Sean is going to go ahead and make us up a couple cups and we're going to sit down here and drink some hot chocolate munch on some trail mix we got it in our survival kit we got our little tabs in there and got that light my fire spork which is a handy little thing to have I always just use sticks or whatever whittle myself a spoon or whatever but Adam ever since I started using that spork I like it a lot so you want you can set that other chocolate down somewhere I tried to make that rock stable but I don't know how stable it is it could fall at any moment but why it's a nice day up here it's a sin to low 30s you've had some snow here and there and kind of fun to walk around some places don't have much snow and some have a good little bit but it's nice we got our through a few more things on the fire when they got back from our little jaunt down to the files so now we're ready to sit here and munch on a few things so very nice
