perry peacock with wilderness innovation here just doing a little bit of some filming for some parts and stuff and you know we'll snowshoeing around we got some fresh snow about 10 inches or so and I just wanted to do a little something here our survival kit comes with a with a rain poncho in it and a lot of people ask me before will you know what would you use a rain poncho for and the in the wintertime well anytime anytime you can cover yourself a little bit you can like with something like this it keeps any kind of breeze or wind out that sort of thing I'm actually adding maybe 10 or 15 degrees of a comfort range just by having this little poncho on now you know of course it's not raining or anything like that but you know nevertheless it does add a good degree of warmth to me actually another thing if I fire to lay down in the snow or something like that and I'm not going to get what from melting the snow with my body heat so it's an additional thing there some wind protection that sort of thing try to show you some little been working on here just will have a little fun here I kind of burrowed in i used my snowshoes which a lot of times i use them as a shovel they work they work pretty well so what I did I cleared this out got down to got down to the leaves and the ground level here and then I've taken some tree limbs and stuff that's been kind of broken and kind of stacked them up over the top and and over on this side here I've stuck some down in the snow and I've taken the snowshoe and I've taken some snow and just kind of thrown up against this stuff right here so I've built me up a couple feet of snow wall right here just by sticking some some sticks in here and and all that and I could come on around here a little bit nice little lace yum I'm a couple feet down right here on this Ridge and i've added all this stuff here shove down into there like they did on this side and i can start taking my snowshoe and start scooping some snow up here and start building some of this up and I can cover all this in snow most the way around here so I could I could easily be covered on three sides with a little you know maybe 6 or 6 to 12 inches of snow on this stuff and I'll have kind of a three-sided little snow hut here and i can do that get up in here throw some throw some of this stuff on the ground here a little bit to get me up off the ground and burrow in here with my my suit here and I've got my little space blanket I can wrap around me and you know I can kind of code this now I've got a little I've got a little spot in here kind of a kind of a windbreak and you know without too much trouble just I don't want to spend too much time at this but I can wrap my space blanket around me here now and get up in here and I'm kind of gotten on top of a pile of leaves and stuff those left from fall and so you know it's not too it's doesn't feel too bad underneath me and I don't feel much of any kind of breeze

back in here I've kind of got a little bit of a windbreak and this isn't too bad probably with another hour so of gathering branches and stuff like that I could probably close this in on the top enough to where you know I could I could pile some snow chunks on top and kind of get it filled in actually have a roof on it but I'm not really too worried about that right now I just kind of wanted to show you how to make a quick divvy this is about an hour's work to shovel this out of the snow shoe in a few branches and kind of plug them in here and there and pile up some snow on both sides of me to kind of give me a little wind break here so all right now now here's the companion here all wrapped up in the space blanket and also got a got a rain poncho on on top of that just for some extra you know protection against dent lists and stuff like that and back inside of this little alcove here that we have made out of the out of the snow here on three sides so we're all banked on all three sides up to about waist high and so that kind of tux back in out of the way and and you can see that that's a nice little setup there so you know use your imagination have some fun in the snow it's a great day perry peacock wilderness innovation love being out in it we'll see you again bye
