Canoe Camp at the Lake

Description

After one night at a campsite I found another location across the lake by canoe and I moved my camp there. The solitude was wonderful, a beautiful quiet place. I set up my ATACS iX heavy duty poncho as a bridge hammock and put a second poncho over top as a canopy. Fresh caught fish made up part of my meals. Nice scenery at this lake which sits at over 9000 feet elevation. The canoe made it simple to carry my gear to the new camp and to navigate around the lake. literally just quiet all you can hear is there's a little creek that runs into the lake right up here I found a place back here in the pines hang a couple hammocks it would be nice

well I decided to pack up and head across the lake I got some supplies and this bin here and then behind me I've got sheltering supplies camera supplies and I got food in the other cooler there and that's how I'm geared up well it was hardly anybody else on the lake here man it is nice I found the spot that I want to set up camp at have too far in to cross cross on the floor into the lake and I'm pretty excited about it where while I'm going across the lake I will put a line in here and there well last week I introduced the the new HD poncho the a tax IX I'm in a nice place just right off the shore of the lake here

beautiful spot I might even have to take a nap it's going to be awful cozy this this says a PS SL HD a tax IX poncho set up as a bridge hammock and over the top of as a canopy this is a the next size bigger in poncho so this is a PSF XL extra wide and I've set it up as a canopy over top of my hammock here and I'm using the tent tubing option here where I got some east and some East and aluminum tent poles inside of here to hold that shape so this gives me a very nice little setup and I'm right here on the lake it's just beautiful my view of the lake and down inside the I'm not going to lie to you man I'm hungry

since I'm canoeing wait isn't a big issue so I brought along I brought along my big set of cooking irons just like our cooking sticks only they're bigger I can put my right that I should have brought a bigger frypan I actually have my cast iron one in my truck but this is a spontaneous deal to come over here and set up camp here instead of over a campsite where the truck is I got a few more camp hashbrowns I got to ease up this looks like an like an opportune time to use them up I'll tell you what this right here oh definitely date me I don't know people even know what that is anymore salt and pepper shakers made out of old film canisters when you got done with your film you could buy these little tops right here they have a little closure lid a little shaker holes in them I don't I just I don't they even make them anymore but they even make film anymore anyway so there's the salt here's the pepper good good dose of pepper on there you almost can't have too much pepper well nicely done nicely done I like to use these pay tens you've seen me do that I'm just going to set it back they're kind of out of the way but there's still enough heat but that will keep that warm while I get my fish going here well I've been storing my fish right here in the tree I caught this earlier and now I believe it's time to eat it well I believe I'm going to need to cut it down to size my fry pan I got this piece of log laying out there so just get the tail off of there and we'll get the head off of there maybe I shouldn't I put it right there no I think baby I just cut it in half here okay it's already sizzling well I believe it's coming along pretty good all right got my hashbrowns on here while I get eat this thing here that's going to be good right there tell you what go for the gusto here oh now that is the hashbrowns pepper it up nice and slightly crunchy peel the skin off the fish that's nice right there I'll tell you what
