now this is Perry Zach and Rebecca peacock with wilderness innovation and we're up up in the canyons enjoying some powder snowshoeing and want to do a little demonstration one thing you want don't ever want to do is run out of water and we melt the water as we go and this way we do it Zach will show you here and we wear a water bottle down inside of our jackets and and our body heat melts the snow the slushy mix so that you always have fresh water to drink and we have a rule of thumb here so that you never ever run out of water what you do is before you take a drink is you get down in the snow and scoop you up some snow and fill your fill your water bottle up with snow and not as much you can put in there decently and then put the lid on it and then we'll we'll shake shake up the water and the snow mixture so it makes kind of a slush and when you do that first you'll never you never run out of water to drink because your body i'll just keep melting it it's important to have the slush mix because just trying to melt snow isn't very efficient as long as you make a slush mix now you can go ahead and he can take a drink and you can literally you could drink all the water out of it that's in there if you wanted to so that's how we never run out of water when we're out in the winter conditions there's always playing there's plenty of snow so you should never run out of water your body's always given off heat and actually it helps regulate the heat inside your body because instead of getting so sweaty inside this slush mix absorbs a lot of that heat and so anyway that's how he's keeping hydrated to head in the winter out in the snow and once again it's perry zach and rebecca from wilderness innovation
