hi everyone in this video I'm going to be looking at the brew night TI for TI for penlight it's this little pen light here so in the previous recommendation of a torture did I did the ti3 which I was very very impressed with three nights saw the review and said what I like to have a look at this one I said yet sure I'm trying to stay away from doing reviews and stuff really but I said I'd have a look at this one I'm really really happy with it so my initial thoughts on this was yeah actually feels really sturdy actually even though it's heavier it feels lighter than the the ti3 it is heavier but for some reason it does feel later but really nice smooth finish on it so it's coated with this agonized abrasive resistant paint so it's been in my pocket now for about two weeks with keys with a ferrocerium rod different bits and pieces like that and there's not a single scratch on it so it's pretty good paint it's not going to get damaged an aesthetic thing well it's quite nice that it's you know they're taking the cur to make it nice and it's also pretty right as well so there's the top brightness on it we'll have a closer look at that in a minute while one lock up first is the the structure and construction of this so here you can see the torch so the main thing about the structure of it is why not the structure that the design of it is you can see just here it says a three-night ti4 penlight and it's got some kind of code right there not entirely sure what that means the clip on this one unlike the ti3 is fastened on and it comes attached to it but it is removable at the back here so this back piece comes off and that back piece is also the button which operates the torch it's a very slim line design not bulky at all very very slim and it kind of opens up really smoothly towards the end here which is where the LED light is so that's a bright white lights on others weird square LED things it's got that mottled in the side kind of lens which which spreads the light beam as well to actually load the batteries into this so it takes to triple-a batteries very very easy to let to to load it just unscrew the bulb head and the other two batteries so without those batteries in this weighs in around 22 grams according to the three night website not sure how much it weighs with the batteries in I don't really go in for obsessing over weights too much and there's a little rubber I'll ring in there as well and you get some of those spur with it so where you said operations on the back here clamor focus which is this button very very sturdy indeed and you just click that button to turn the torch on what very very nice design very very slim feels quite nice in your hand it's really smooth it's not got any text string on it like the ti3 and there's the clip again just like the ti3 slightly larger clip I think but it's still really really sturdy right nicely made so let's have a look at the modes of this so the modes for this torch are pretty much the same as for the ti3 but I'm going to go through the many way just in case you haven't seen that video so as I've said already talked about twice now it is operated by a switch on the back little button switch and so we've got we just start at the beginning okay so we start off with the initial setting which is the Firefly mode and again this is like the ti3 this is the one I seem to use more than anything and it's really good for just looking in pocket and looking in your bag late at night so you're not damaging your night vision we have then also got the next setting up so to operate it we turn it off sway back on and off and on again in quick succession if you turn it off and then wait a few seconds and then turn it back on it turns it back to the same setting we do it quickly it makes it brighter I think that's the brightest setting there which is really really bright cut member exactly how many lumens it is but i will put a link to the official three-night website down the bottom of this for you to have a look at and I'll also link the amazon page as well to pick one of these up so one

and that's bright and then it goes back to this one we've also got that same hidden mode where I turn it off and on in quick succession and we end up with this strobe light which is actually very very quick but for some reason the camera kind of struggles to pick this book a little bit we've got a strobe light it's very very bright and that strobe light is the same brightness as that kind of middle setting so not the brightest not the lowest except the middle of setting which is really handy if you concern about being stopped up beside the mountain and you need any help overall really really happy with this think the price of it is around 15 pounds if that's wrong somewhere up in this video I'll have corrected myself and it's really good as I said it stayed pretty much in my pocket the whole time so I'm keeping it generally in my in my breast pocket if I've got one in the shirt that I'm wearing fits perfectly into the Swan dry shirt and the reason I'm keeping it my breast pocket is not necessarily a design fault but something that found a little bit annoying is because that button is on the back of it when this is in my pocket what I'm actually doing is to push it on is pushing it and catching that button so it's switching on in my pocket and a family does get really quite hot in there so that is something just to be a word of it's not necessarily a design fault it's just it's just a little bit annoying you know it's going to have a button on it and the button on the back is it's not sensitive it so good you know you've got to give it a really good clip to get it to work just make sure that it is switched off when it's in your pocket when it's on that highest setting I could back I noticed it because my leg was getting really warm and on that day I think it actually been on for a good hour and a half and it actually started to run my battery down and that is something that I've noticed about this and I actually quite like this I don't know that it's an intentional design feature or not when it's on that brightest setting if your batteries are running low with the brightness that it dips when you switch on and then it gradually brightens back up again I really like that because its a good indication that you need to change the battery so you can get them ready for when they eventually run out there's nothing worse than having your talk to run out in the middle of the night and then you have to rummage around and try and find you wow she's even even know exactly where they are it can be a bit of a pain to try and change them in the dark and I work out which way they go you know this is black if I took that off and put it down in the dark I've automatically lost it so yeah I quite like that about it as i said the back end here does one screw so i'll just show you very quickly so if you really wanted to you can actually take that clip off and there's a little oil in there which holds it in place but i'm actually going to leave on because i quite like it i like having the option to clip it as i said with the ti3 it's really useful from clipping it to your pack a little bit longer for that but with the ti3 I'm not tried it with this one I have to admit I'm sure it worked it's the same put the o-ring on on incorrectly

so I've just damaged that o-ring there but it does come supply with to spur ones but she's good don't have them with me yeah really good very very nice torch one thing that I was a bit shocked about was this one the ti3 comes supplied in this really nice little tin which I thought was a really nice feature this just came in a in a box it was quite a nice box but it wasn't a nice nice box like the other was a cardboard box yeah was the same yeah I haven't tried to shoulder mount this one it's I think it's gonna be a little bit too long for that the ti3 was perfect for it this one's probably going to be a little bit long but this one is much nicer to hold in your hand because it's it's longer it's you get a much sturdier grip on it I really like that so it's you know see I can get a good good grip around it can hold it like a pen for you really need to look at stuff yeah it's a cool torch i highly recommend it just watch out for that back button it's very very bright at the end of this video i'll do a quick thing looking at it looking at how bright it is in the dark it'll be dark pretty soon so i'll do that once i'm finished yeah thoroughly impressed with it i highly recommend it I highly I'm really impressed with the three night stuff in general really really impressed with it and like I said it's not usually the stuff I go in for like tech gear what yeah I'm pretty impressed with this I've used it a lot have you both of them a lot is fractionally brighter than the ti3 account member the lumens on it as I've said I'll put the stuff down at the bottom of this good price good tour sturdy fully waterproof solid build made a good solid aluminium really really nice precision design it's I really like the design of them the very very sleek and nice looking but they're not like over the top of gaudy you know there's no there's no stupid little aesthetic design features it's just playing a simple very very good torch that's bright white light that comes out of it okay blinding myself again everyone seemed to enjoy that in the last video so even even in the broad daylight you can see you know that's the brightest setting it's so bright so so bright and it's actually luminate in the area around me totally impressed with it so what I'll do wait for it to go dark I chat

I can show you and check back in i'll show you how it works in the dark got what was then a bit that ok folks so as you can see the sun is well and truly down the rain has started as well and it's the winds picked up a little bit so i do apologize if that's making a bit sound but just really quickly let's have a look at those light setting so i'm going to start with the firefly setting which is like this car we see much of that on this on the camera unless I move it for me so that's the Firefly setting really close up really really nice but doing those just little jobs around camp where it doesn't need to be super bright next setting up is the medium setting so that list so you can just about see things are picking up there and then the bright setting is like this so you can see that really is super bright so that beam cover isn't quite picking up stuff in the background without fence it's quite a way away from me I had but the camera zoomed in just because it seems to be picking a light or better that way well there we go so they're not just the last thing to show you it's the strobe setting

we're past it so there is the strobe setting again that's the medium light so you can see that's really good camera's not really picking up the level of Stroh meanness is very very bright probably going to get something productive forest trying to rescue mission now so guys there you go that is the blue light TI for penn toward excellent little torch I keep in my car now pretty much it's really good for getting a little jobs done around the place and when I not when I'm out camping sorry and helped me the night out or wherever it stays in my mind please ship out alongside 93 as always thank you all for watching please check out the links down at the bottom if I forget to put the links in please tell me and I'll put them in there and stay tuned in for the next video thanks everyone
