hello hello and welcome to another video today's video I'm going to be getting wet I've decided to come up the lake this trip for the day I'm good old sunny Cumbria and I am gonna be climbing hopefully skid or which is very popular mountain haha but erm on the way up the weather turned pretty nasty on me b'fer this little forest um in and cheese dog forest possibly kind of the name of it anyway what's gorgeous in the rain and it's pretty pretty sheltered here as forests tend to be however I'm only in it for about a kilometer so wants them out of it the weather's going to turn so I was hoping to really spend some time filming focusing on practicing that whether or not that's gonna go ahead today I'm a little bit unsure of so I might have to switch the little camera which is just a little bit more practical but the quality isn't quite as good certainly in terms of the sound but I've been practicing Saturday soon that's going quite well rain could be a pain they sought the best were walking in well for ice to look spectacular in the rain the fog on life

well folks the decision to change over to the little camera because the weather taking a bit of a turn which I was kind of expecting it to do and just a little bit frustrating that I've had to me over for this one which probably is gonna have a really sucky sound on it for the rest of the video but I'll see how much of that I can kind of edit out later so I will press on keep around this weather if it gets too bad it's just not gonna be fun continuing I'll just play around on the slopes for a little bit practice some navigation see how I get on good old British weather right [Applause]

well folks send the mountain now actually making pretty good time he's just got 11 o'clock but obviously I'm slowed down by the fact that I'm trying to film as much as I can and really practice getting these shots in quickly partly why I'm here sorry about the wind so what I'm going to do I'm gonna stop for a moment and so I'm trying to shield the microphone from the wind probably not working I'm gonna stop for a moment get a bit of a snack get a bit of a drink and there just watch the mist roll by with this wonderful Cumbrian view that I have here I'm at I'm happens never know what might do so yeah time for a drink [Music]

time to set off again this time I'm heading straight for my first peak of the day which is I forgot my mark that's bad painting which dents in the camera Karl solid and Karl side Carlos de hide and Karl side time Oh miss having a big tripod and so yeah hoping to be back within the next half an hour and then straight on to the summit horse skid or the weather seems to have stopped Raylan just turned to miss or might be able to get the nice camera back again which means I don't have to do this all the time let's go [Applause]

I let my first summit it's a bit breezy up here so sorry if you can't hear me very well but there is really not a lot I can do about that at the minute I've taken the risky decision to take off my waterproof trousers something in my pocket I'm still not sure what it was was rubbing my leg inside to get a little bit painful and I was getting really really warming the mess up awkward awkward weather condition today where it's damp humid and very very warm so I was just overheating the waterproof trousers and to be honest and my legs are sweating like crazy anyway so it's kind of less it starts to be like torrential rain it's sort of pointless me wearing them anyway so I take it and send them off I'm gonna keep my waterproof jacket on just to keep the wind off by my core and see how I get on I'm about to begin the way up to the sort of main something that I'm heading for today I'm pretty sure I'm gonna make it I've got about another 250 meters of incline but it's fairly steep and with all this all these cameras stuff my baggage is pre it's pretty heavy going right I'm gonna start recording because I reckon it's pointless with the wind I'm probably gonna get the bigger camera out shortly because it isn't chucking it down anymore

so here we go I've reached the summit of skid off three points the views are amazing absolutely brilliant you still get to use like this anywhere else in the world I think one would do let's get out the wind through MIDI and shattered the camera one I have a bit of a snap in a room oh there we go the summit that's quite nice - yeah so fairly easy crying really pretty heavy go in with the aim this big camera in the in the pack little frustrated I'd not be able to film as much as I'd like to but in it in this weather it's just it's just not worth it really there's nothing nothing to show no story to tell it's just me plodding up a mountain well basically on that final bit of a scent what I did was since I wasn't filming and the paths were pretty poor anyway I decided to go off the paths and practise my navigation and walk on bearing so I've done like a number of straight lines so I'll be tracking it on the Ordnance Survey thing so I've been using that to make sure I'm correct with what I'm doing appears to have lost me now here we go so she's where I am now might not focus but we'll see so I want skid or old man if you look at those lines on there which I can't quite see you'll see there's lots of like right angles and that was where I was faffing around walking on a bearing all that you can see the camera so yeah that's what I've been doing and I'm bang on the on the trick point now or message a couple of people some more people wandering out of the Mist now I might even be brave and leave the camera off as they appear I can hear voices anyway

maybe it's the ghosts ghosts in the mist of old skid or so I'm gonna have a cup of coffee I've loved a flask of hot water all the way up here with me there we go but a proper look somewhere a little bit of a shuffle round with how I organize my pack I don't like it I'm gonna go back to how I had it originally oh man didn't bring a spoon but did bring a knife somewhere in amongst the I've been collecting off the side of the mountain absolutely infuriating me I shouldn't have to do that check it out a bit of litter in the bag where it came from it's as simple as that coffee sachet litter

simplest twice three times today it's really not been nutsacks into a bit earlier

in a little bag what these Stanley flasks are absolutely incredible this one actually isn't mine mine's enormous and he's in the car this is my dad's a little one that you lent to me for today but I really do keep my water so nice and hot for the full day everything's wet and sticky yeah some of the flash that have brought up in the past I've been using in the past right I've been alright but as soon as the temperature drops out that have been alright today but in colder conditions they're just not up to the job well a boo boo boo boo that's a message amazingly I have I'd signal all the way up this mountain so I've been able to do what I believe to be amusing little little stories but my sense of humor is only found funny by one other person that's my boy Brian wherever he may be at this moment he's actually a fighter jet pilot now true story

what was that ha I wasn't a message it's just a little notification it's 20 past 1 now plenty of light left I'm not actually sure which way I want to go back down yeah so enjoy my brew enjoy the view rune of you oh that's good you don't fully appreciate

a hot drink until you've looked the hot water

nine hundred and sumit feet meters none of them something meters up to the top of a mountain and your damp and slightly chilly and sweaty and tired it's really sugary as well I think there's a lot of people stopped over there thinking that that's the sort of it it's not this is it got it to myself well I'm pretty much done with my descent down the mountain now actually can probably tell you've gone quite still when my ears popped in the wind further up so I'm not really filled by the scent it's been very very quick very very wet and very very windy and suddenly it's just stopped he's my favorite favorite moments up in the mountains can hear Kendall down in the distance that's where I'm gonna head back to not Kendall Kazik nobody else up here so like three people which for what's apparently a really busy Mountain this is bad I reckon be down in the next half hour Robin Thicke has it got a tea [Music]
