ok guys so as you can see I've now got the tarpaulin set out it's nice and tall and you're underneath the it's nice and dry it's keeping all the rain off it's not particularly high but that's people it's a small tarpaulin now for this type of weather just picking out the floor corners like I've done here is absolutely fine it's not particularly windy even though it is raining as you can see what if it was windy and really really bad weather or perhaps snowing 11 needs what a little bit more weight and we put more taut and usual you can use these additional ones which pump built in and just as strong as the others and they just go straight down to the ground what the this purpose we don't really need them the guys can get in the way and kind of getting this side and bars out the other side now one thing that i would like to mention i'm a nightmare for not doing this these bags especially at night really handily the same cause pretty much everything else is in the poorest and the quite easy to lose so what I've got into the habit of doing it's just come to the end of my talk there's these little bits of power cord and then putting a little bit of the just a really simple overhand knot in it and that it's going to stay there might fill up with water the network proof must have it gets a little bit down or you can tuck it underneath underneath the underneath the dieline there ok so you're not gonna forget where that is so you can pack up you know where all your stuff is ready to go so next thing is the hammer again really small comes a nice little stop plug like that and very very simple far easy to pull than the tarpaulin actually pull it out there spreads out nice and tight again so

underneath the tarpaulin so it's not getting wet and then go into here it's nice and cozy so now because you've already got the tarpaulin up where you work with your hammock or you've got you can put your bag in here all your food and stuff in here it'll stay nice and dry while you're finishing your camp settle so type all incomes attachments really thick cord and if you can tie your shoelaces you can put the hammock it's that simple so you have it cords want to be roughly shoulder height so go round the tree once with one cord around the other one pull that tight so that your hammock with this star falling comes to the same distance away from the tree is a tarpaulin till the end isn't sticking out too much then if you've got enough cord which I think I haven't quite so let's make some adjustments at the other end set that around then around back

just I really simple sure it's not and that will hold because with the hammock it's not the knot that is holding it in place it's actually the friction of the cord against the wood which holds all in place so that shouldn't be on the too much strain some ways go to the other end okay so the other end exactly the same story cords a patrol the height wrap them around twice then just do a nice and simple see you later that should hold me however as you can see underneath here the hammocks right up against the guyline that's no good so what I need to do is just loosen the other side a little bit so it drops down a shoelace knot again get inside that's right out so don't stop down nicely so this is quite low subfloor just I like it can even fall young or five to go there you go put your hammock nice and comfy to sleep in for life so that's how to setup basic shelter bushcraft our salt is really important because if it really is bad weather you very quickly want to get a nice sort of dry place to get all your stuff I kind of use as a base when you want to go get you by yourself so this is why I've done this video today at some point in the future I'm going to go into some other set up to the top or and hammock slightly slightly better ones this is the most basic way of setting it up so keep watching keep subscribing and thanks very much for watching thanks guys
