hi guys what's up plates eight with a Kip review and today I'm going to take a look at this which is the DD action pack really really good first off what I'd like to say is off the top of my head the price tag on this I'm not entirely sure it is it's about 20 pounds the reason I'm not sure is because mine came standard with the DD burn which we'll talk a little bit more about in a moment but first off let's have a look at the pack itself so the pack is really really nicely made it's really robustly stitched the stitching is really tough on it if you can just have a look there we'll get the camera zoomed in a little bit better for you everything's double stitched with like with some kind of modern fabric I'm not entirely sure what it is it's really good it's really strong stuff that's present throughout the double stitching really nice not the whole thing now it's quite spacious pack as well I've got a very similar one which is made by snow pack but this one a little bit better I think it's a bit chunkier the fabrics a little bit harder and it's actually a fraction which is really nice because it means I can really comfortably fit in the centre of this and the main pouch I can fit my blender saw my Mora knife and also you know I've got it with me haven't got it with me today but I can fit my grandpa's hand

with all that sauce spit in there perfectly and if you just have a look inside it's really spacious in here the fabric that's made from this some kind of plasticized polyester is pretty water-resistant actually I've never I've been out with some pretty serious weather now they don't mark it as being waterproof but for me it is being pretty much waterproof gets a little bit damp around the around the zips but that's not a huge problem in here which is pretty difficult to show you on the camera we've got some webbing as well to keep bits and pieces separate I like to keep my tinderbox in there keep the separate stops or moving around that's the main compartment it's really really big really nice so just zip it up all the zips this is a very minor detail but there's little things like this that means you can tell a piece of kit to be well thought out it's got these little cord toggles on it which means that you know especially there's cold you're not messed around trying to get hold of a stick or if you're wearing gloves or something just pull those on his zips or nicely okay on the front we have another small pouch again the zips of all about that little piece of cord on so the front pouch again quite large this opens right off and in the front here we have a little selection of little pockets so we've got quite a large on here which is really nice for keeping the small maps you get even a localized area and then we've got these two bits here which I actually generally if I'm out my honor keep my SD cards in I usually keep a card I'm sorry my my camera in this pouch here that's really nice that on the front it's got the DD logo I'm action pack and brought it into it she's quite a nice little feature it's got these little webbing strips which we'll talk about in a moment either side of the pouch again there's smaller compartments with the little webbing pieces on them as well they open up they're just nice little side pockets I usually keep a spare pair of socks in there which is really good stick them in a cup in a plastic bag sticking in there they're going to stay nice and dry particularly really wet and then on the other side there's another one exactly the same and that's what I tend to keep my brew kit and/or my fire light in so that's the compartment so they've got these little bits here as well if you've got I have a mini hatchet which has some time to take out with me the handle of that fits absolutely perfectly into music fits really snug doesn't fall out doesn't go anywhere but their hand a little things walking poles or stuff can go in them as well so the pack can be attached to the Bergin which we'll have a look at in a minute but underneath this this sheath here this you can put a belt through there quite cool to without help it's sitting really snugly to body tend not to use that myself too much because I'm a little bit small for it but inside here we have a clip so I'll just show you how we can use this clip so it's a really robust clip it's not going anywhere

easily you can clip it together you can't really pull that apart and it means you can wear this quite comfortably on your back underneath which is really nice because it sits really comfortably underneath your bag and it will take the weight off your shoulders and really hold the weight of your backpack or whatever onto your hips these tighten up quite nicely so just pull that along so if you're a skinny little guy like me you can really tie it off that sits on comfortably and it's also pretty easy to get in and out on that if it's under your under your bag goes on on the back you can actually turn around pretty easily access it under there then just push it about background which is which is quite nice that's because these are quite narrow fittings and the smooth modern fabric so that click on clip if you wanted to another way you can wear this is you just lengthen these cords a really nice way of wearing this actually over and you can actually use it as a very small impact just like so I think the total capacity of this is probably about 10 litres altogether or something something similar to their I haven't actually checked but then if you want to or this is how I generally carry it most the time when I've got my pack you have a couple of these action-packed one for my bag one for around my waist that's how cool the earth box too so they took in there just like that when you'll notice on the back here got these two velcro strips now what they're for often is for use so we undo those strips just like the velcro goes this is a really important feature actually the velcro is the full length of this strip some of the lesser quality versions of this style of pack only has a patch of velcro at the bottom but this goes the whole length which means it gets held really securely into place so using the webbing on the front of the pack here what we do is we can just thread those sticks pretty hard with your showing this actually thread those times like that through both sets of webbing right in mind that you still got some space here keep stuff underneath the Bergin as well right through and that sits really smug and secure on the that all the stuff that you're gonna need kind of handy if you're doing any serious backpack it's why I tend to keep my tools the emergency rations bits and pieces like that and they're both of them up hit brew kit but just like the bergen as I said earlier this does have the webbing on it and that is really cool because this also supply these room or someone pouches okay this is the larger version they do they were slightly smaller version as well which I'm going to be hopefully getting my hands on soon not no compartments or anything inside them just really big robust sturdy water resistant pouches nice feature of these is that when it's zipped up you can zip it up lift that flap up to make access to it easy then once it's gone is it pull that flap down pull that flap down and it covers the zip and it keeps it more watertight and again it's got the same velcro strips as the action pack on it and what we can do is if you want to add some extra capacity to your pack just attach them the front so make it myself I'll show you the process they touch and this is this is really cool I mean because I've used that that strip of web in there now to put this pouch on on the front so potentially have a pouch still on the side and then I've got a pouch on the front and if I really wanted to I could put an even smaller one on the front of this and you actually really really bulky up the capacity of this bag and the same thing goes you can do exactly the same on the top here as well add extra pouches your stuff so the action pack is really good it's really versatile if you're using the DD stuff the action packed is a really cool thing because it just adds so much capacity to what what you can and cannot carry if you fold your pallet in your Tahoe hammock or your tarp or not nicely it will also fit really nicely into this into this main pouch if you fold it correctly it takes up most of the space in there but it means it's accessible which is quite a nice thing to do if you're a hiker so you've got your hammock on you it takes two minutes to throw it up you can have a sit down a view brew a be lunch and a comfortable hammock seat that's just in the collet back off and then it goes so you go guys that's the DD action pack recommend going out and get one fantastic company to deal with thank you for watching guys
