Kit review; Shires Country boots (charlbury boots)

Taking a look at the country boots by shires, the boots shown in this video are the ''charlbury" model not the riverboots as i say in the video (oops!) the boots are full grain leather with a nubuck upper. they are fantastically comfortable and perfect for Bushcraft provided that they are well maintained, i Got mine from Robinsons Equestrian stores and they can be found by foollowing the link below.

alright guys so what we're going to do today is good i've got another kit review for you this kit review is something that quite a lot of people have asked me about i think what is it's all about the boots that i were so these boots they are shires equestrian boots and i think the cold river boots or something along those lines off the top of my head i'm not entirely sure what i'll do is i throw the link into the description this video I've were to get them now there's not a great deal to say about these boots but a lot of people have asked me about them so I'll to see what I can do so these are the these boots these ones in particular are the wide-leg ones I've picked the wide-leg ones because it means that in the winter I can wear extra layers because obviously they're not quite knee-high and because the wine I can get more layers in there to keep you warm in the winter and in the summer when I'm wearing less layers mmm they're nice and open there's plenty of space in the prevent elation to let the warm leave them they are full leather so the full grain leather on the bottom and there are nubuck leather on the upper they retail about 115 pounds i believe is that's how much i got mine from from a horse riding crop and the only real downside to these and the real big downsides to design of them is actually the sole so do is I'll bring the boot over i'll show you the soul of it now there's not a massive amount of grip on the bottom of these souls you can see but to be honest in terms of bushcraft they're pretty decent e so that's the soul of them it's quite a hard sole and but it's nice and thin it's hard but it's thin so you can actually feel the ground underneath you but in terms of bushcraft a soul isn't much of a problem you know we're not tracking up the side of mountains and things for that guy thing you want a proper hiking boot there's not much ankle support in them which I actually quite like for doing bushcraft as it means that when you get down on your knees when you're fighting the stuff you've got plenty movement and I find with proper hiking boots because they're tight around your ankles my feet tend to get a bit pins and needle you're just uncomfortable now the hour for grain leather at the bottom which does mean that they require a little bit of treatment and a little bit of and care so just i use Granger's and boot boot what as it boots wax for them and I just rub that if I use my bare hands rather the cloth like it says on the tin these my hands because the heat your hands has a habit of making it soak into the leather a little bit more and they're available in full range of sizes from what I can gather the unisex boots and one big advantage and why I use them for bushcraft in particular is the fact that they're so high now lot the time when I'm out about am traipsing to brand bought tickets and stuff and ends but you can see here your trousers and things get really snagged up by them particularly this is bad if you're wearing your waterproof but the fact that these boots are so high the leather protector trousers from that and also when you're in and out of hamlet's or whatever they're really easy to take off and put back on the very very warm very comfortable they have a breathable lining and insulated breathable lining I don't know what this lining is bit of a fault with the website that earned you look at these from doesn't give you any more details what I think it's some kind of more cotton or polyester mix it's kind of like a tartan pattern I'll try and show you on the inside was quite dark and a lot so under camera will pick it up we an excellent views at nice this is actually my second pair of boots my first player just in this patch here they they cracked and the reason they cracked was I didn't look at the very property it was my fault and they got wet I didn't walk prove them and I tried to dry them out regularly in the foot one of my car while I was driving using the heat on my feet in the heat just dry dry out and split them this / blasting me much much longer because I've maintain them properly and the only other thing is you have to be careful they don't have stitched souls so the soul can call apart a little bit and that's really used to fixing my pack I used a key a little bit of Bostick and shoe glue coming what exactly was called what they do a glue that specific or resoling shoes as keep a little bit out in the packet Kasich in case they call part walks and I'm out about word and what to be honest it's not an issue I've had with the second set really really comfortable excellent pair of boots I prefer them over hiking boots any day unless of course like i said i'm hiking sellouts or going along day hi so that's always to sail out and really really comfortable boots reasonable price to the last your ages we look after them the leather and they look pretty cool as well as i think is one most people have asked me about them and the last thing to say is that the top has kind of drawstring but because it's full leather that drawstring doesn't really do much you can pull it a little bit tighter and but that's more for use on the narrow leg ones which is pretty good oh and also another great thing i love about these is the fact that they are waterproof right the way from the top which is excellent specially we keep this top half maintained with a new boardwalk creaking stuff and make sure you get into all these these seams in here yeah brilliant boots a highly recommend them so there's shires country groups that style butte college our boots loads of different styles out there this is just the style i picked in particular because didn't have any zips or laces on it there's no there's no laces rated on them so there you go if you
