Oh

hi guys what we got for you today is a review of my new ban off crook knife and I wanted to really wanted to do a view of this I'm really happy with it really really happy with it quite a few different crop knives in the past this isn't my first one I have used a few different types this is by far the best one I found out there it is absolutely fantastic so what we'll do first is have a look at the handle so the handle is made from English Elm and it's a facet handicap probably can't quite make that out on the camera this isn't a perfectly smooth handle it actually has flat bit time which means that this is much more comfortable to hold its really really nice feels really nice in your hand and on the handle you can just see there's the been offered logo actually kind of burnt or Stanton's that I'm not sure it is realize that a logo little celtic knotwork design the blade arise with this soft leather around it because obviously you can understand the sheath for a crook knife and that just one folds so we'll have a look at the knife itself like blade take that apart see this really really good quality workmanship and listen we've draw handmade guys black Smith I think so here's the blade it's made with 01 tool steel it has one single edge on it on this side it looks like a flat-rate flat flat Brown edge on there really nice to use and just on the back on the back here it's got been offered logon it again as well if you can just make that out just here hopefully that's come out for you now it's got a partial tang blade on it which means that it's much easier to use there is some more informational been off his website about that i'll stick a link up his webpage and his youtube Chinese got he's got sour maintenance of these things how to use I had to make different things out of them as well so i'll stick that up I think the time comes to about here in this blade I'm not entirely sure the blade is glued in with some kind of resonant glue this end here this is the right handle but right-handed version is available in right and left-handed obviously the left-handed version just has the blade on the other side if you ever do a lot of carving well worth getting both right-handed and left-handed but if you started out get get one that is designed for the you're you're you're stronger hand so the blades always cutting away from you I think a lot about this is the blade on this is actually quite small a lot the other couple hours of use such as the moral and have a really wide blade on them which actually makes it quite difficult to use I found and they also don't come with a very good edge on them the edge on this as riving is absolutely fantastic I minus the carve a spoon with little day which tap typically i forgot to bring with me Bostic a picture up at the end of the video of that spoon for you but yeah really really sharp blade on it and I'm not going to carve anything today because it's in carbon video it's just a review of the knife but I just going to demonstrate really quickly how how easy it is to use this knife got a little bit birch here it's not the strongest piece of birch just a nice little bit of virtue found lying around is quite soft but still i'm going to show you how to you how to how it works mangala cook tours we're starting to put my thumb on the back here i'm going to work with this in this kind of motion using my you can see really easily it just cuts just cut so so smoothly through you can get really thin little cuts off this or you can get really really deep cuts off it really nicely I'm already starting to form a nice bowl here really fantastic with a kick so yeah I think the price tag on this is around I think about 30 pounds 35 pounds I can't remember off the top of my head exactly how much it is what value for money that the really really really good value and on his website class to get leatherworking stuff as wife and kids there's green will work and leather work and he makes all the knives and I'm so impressed with this I'm actually to buy some more butterflies it's really really nice nice and additional looking handmade sheer quality of workmanship on this absolutely fantastic you can sit and whip the way with us all day and it's so easy to use your hands I've got a cramp or which is a big problem I found with some of the other knives because the edges on the very good the handles aren't fantastic on them my hands cramp up quite easily with this one I started just did a half there Carl and I was absolutely fine with him so yeah that is the bed off of croc knives ladies and gentlemen I cannot recommend a better cook naked my opinion so keep an eye out for those thank you for watching you
