hello everybody and welcome to another video as you will notice I am quite unusually for me not in the woods and that is because I'm about to take part in a four day expedition with my good friend Rob over here our guys too if you watched my Bush crush over the else you will have noticed talking about his channel stuff which I'm sure will mention a few times during the course of this and this trip just so do you want to tell us what we're doing well we are spending four days in dubious kayaks of the story that you're on later going around the Norfolk Broads we'll be setting off from Roxon and we're heading down the river and we're heading up it's started well we're heading up into style yeah and then possibly heading to the river and various other places so that's the lowdown of this trip so I'm quite interested because I've wanted to come to Norfolk Broads quite a while and I've never been to this place so it's going quite interesting what we're currently doing is making a lot of mess so this is our dubious kayak which the story will follow later but what we're doing currently is basically kind of managing our kit to make it basically efficient so that everything we can get hold of and we need to get hold of is there and also figuring out how to attach all because there is zero internal space or very minimal internal space and zero external attachments on this so it's going to be pretty interesting I think this kite is going to roll a lot because it isn't designed for this kind of weight she wouldn't do that to me she's a beast she's gonna be fine and for anyone who's already thinking it now they're not marijuana leaves that robbers painted on there they are bamboo its bamboo bamboo it's not it's not marijuana leaves if it was marijuana in that size I'd be way more relaxed Yuri pretty relaxed most the time I'm pretty chilled until you want a KitKat yeah yeah I have got some whiskey with me

nice good cause I'll bring it yeah do I bring some rhubarb wine that's a that's a terrible idea it's Norfolk what could go wrong we'd get drunk and drown sobbings whiskey I've got a bottle whiskey the car sounds whiskey Ben the rhubarb I'm if drinking is a bad idea it's going to be an interesting trip and here we go will we make it to the rods of the kayak or will it be spilled over the Norfolk Road smashed into smithereens only time will tell you today on the roof so far look that it looks like it's fine I should look about this prob yeah I'm feeling pretty good obviously I've got too much booze because I don't a drowned we got to bother to be read to last four days yeah exactly

you have to have that in the little life yeah growing slower get drunk summer Starfire you know something wrong with having a I'm livin it with tape on a trip

each other of many pure about their own a pair we want to counter all ever missed a gear that you will die you'll chop your fingers off allows it lacks away while a drinking is aware where is the village where parking was the call from

plow plow feltwaddle yet both of these have normal place names actually Norfolk has some of the oldest place name for the in the country not because it safely India also we have like really like random names like greater snoring and little jewelry those no idea how that the stylish think about countless cabin in the Canaries make a lot of noise yeah like let the sunroof open in our car close it yeah it's been a really relaxing Drive and I think yes mouths be welcome yang quite with the ride that will be launched the boat and so we can park here and stuff for this one and and we just have to get the food we couldn't get it before we arrived so and kept what are you what how you doing off yeah I'm very well what is this selfie look at them dozen eggs sauce that's the obviously it's not for on-the-go drinking hopefully spoon for breakfast tomorrow and but as you because you can see I had to strain it off the top there is that's why a thank you remain stick of it that is there is 12 eggs hmm breakfast is what's left to the eggs so this means that it we can they can be transport it would really be easy so we can have a scrambled eggs in this frying pan in the morning which is nice so the rest of food has gone into this 20 liter bag so I'll just removing all the packaging and stuff so we that we have less lift they're going out with us

solid junk and we left in the car to be emptied when we get back it's looking good it's getting very real or that it's getting very real we basically pulled up from were like oh yeah hey sound we find a little bit deeper angry Swan and the dis angry looking Swan angry swans are part of the broad you'll learn this one yeah and we're right at face height for them oh yeah oh yeah we are going to get good

your portrait urn is black and white this is the Robin Robin five realize they were in quite literally over their head

hi guys

so in it if I do die please view this variability please view this as a reason of how not to do things and then using my instructional videos River safety I think it's worth pointing out at this point I've never done a tire this is not an expensive trip of expedition style kayaks or making the best what we're not how do we know everything ultimately we think the whole way in again that's rather than put one in it fucking get it nobody can use it tonight she's not saying it's not that your order wrong we can say well I don't have another one all right luckily I know it's pretty little my own on the fat what you're not wearing wrapped in what when you get in hopefully it'll bring the fattened up a bit

remember I better get in and then put up the camera it's a balloon actually in the war learn about your fighting level like a strap significantly more label hours yeah

so finally move him we're on we're not those rods not dead yet actually it's a way more stable I was expecting it to be it is really stable isn't it yeah surprisingly considering how weighted down it is it's nice we've actually got quite areal calm dialogical yeah this would be Helen wind and so how you feel about rubble

well I'm not dead yes so I'm feeling pretty positive I'm enjoying how quiet is I love the Broads in the fact that it's just really really peaceful and did you notice that the Broads actually hold 25% of the UK's rarest wildlife I think now that including the raft spider that was believed extinct until 1986 where they found one on the roads I really like spiders it's right Robb's just bring in the urn the bolt round to a landing spot as you can see it's pretty dark now and we're pretty close to a town still but we find a nice little nook out of the way gorgeous even so how have you felt about today Rob felt really good actually obviously we had a few setbacks in terms of traffic and a lock but we didn't tip over which is something we've planned for and prepared for the actual kayak wasn't over laden well it's pretty low but it wasn't overlaid it was really maneuverable wasn't it yeah it was really smooth in the water and and quick very quick yet men you attract a fine rhythm as well which is good because something that we hadn't actually planned for is the actual me and father's chemistry in terms of paddling yeah pretty cramping we've been just in a little bit but we're getting there by the end of it we felt pretty smooth so I'm pretty good and lots of magic growth going on you know is now ready do you want to where think he's completely meant to get in focus because of the light quality say when it is pretty baller we are in we are in a InFocus we are in focus here we go all right when our focuses you did it that's frustrating for a beginner we have Lottery a lot of curry curry and rice and I did say to stop pouring the rice but yeah I'll go dish mine up falls so gay one has gone very very well and we put wow that was the that with the pocket rocket

I mean just zoom in on that and wait for it to focus goes dark give it a sec there we go a lot of food so yeah and I'm I'm in my own shadow

so yes today's been quite an interested a long day because I got to travel all the way across the country to get to to rob so we started out pretty late and we ended up setting up camp in the dark she's basically meant that we were camping in quite a public area which isn't ideal but to be honest when a little tiny patch of woodland no one's going to know we're in here the theory is we're going to leave at sunrise basically be on the water at sunrise which will just be really nice hopefully makes my shot and one of the best things about this site is we've actually got launched immensely yeah we've got a launch one of the problems we've come across is was hoping to stop and get a lot of arty shots on the on the on the on the way but what we were struggling with is because the banks of the water is so high or in such a low kayak getting in out is really challenging but that's all part of the learning curve and that's what we're looking forward to but right now my curry smells really good so I'm there I'm gonna have that and the rest of my beer so it's been a good night so far more in folks 5 a.m. we have to get some coffee on get back on the water or rather it would be if somebody would wake up hey Rob can forget nerve rub what I'm going to have some coffee we'll have some Paul curtly style drop coffee it's going to be good so plan for this morning have some coffee pack the bolt straight onto the water head back down river towards or towards where the car is have some breakfast there and then build downstream to have a bit of an explore that way it's going to be pretty good Warren and Rob morning guys I'm happening a lot better now had coffee also the late-night curry has has been a bit churning this morning but I'm going to power through it's all going to go well it's gonna be good is isn't it yeah just kind of getting you the hang of getting your kit and stuff sorted aren't we yeah it's not like it's not too bad it's just getting used to getting it layered correctly so it'll go back in the bag while on the move rather than in a house can you stay for the camera that I have definitely got admin and I I cannot confirm or deny if you have cut there but you have got like some of useful bits and pieces in your bag at the moment how quickly and easily we're going to get all my stuff in and out of the bag it was pretty easy good isn't it yeah yeah so that was just for Brian I'll go on for will you say I was gonna say was obviously we did have a little bit of a speedy top setup last night as it started - oh yeah yeah it started to rain we weren't good bother with the tarp last night but then it started to rain but it went up in like under five minutes yes it was good because I knew when the tarp was I knew what set up to use I'd pre-planned it did not came really easily we did the plough point thing we both fitted in there no problem it was pretty spacious wasn't it yeah yeah definitely so now it is time pretty much to get the bolt over to the launching point strap over onto it and hit the river again
