hi guys and what I've got today is a little episode and my sort of daily not episode and today what I'm gonna be showing you is the not the reef knot we did that last time the clove hitch okay really good not it's great for tying off bits of rope it's nice and tight it's really simple to do but can be a little bit confusing to start with okay so to start the reef knot what you need to do is you get your piece of cord get one end get your loose ends your short end so this blitz gonna be my work and end over here so you get your loose end and you start by making one loops or working from the right to left towards the end so there's one loop and then you do exactly the same again so you've got these two just get hold of them that way up so you've got these two loops like that okay so the second loop what you want to be doing with that then is bringing it around the back of the first week that you laid then you pull that tight i'll show you it properly and i'll stick here that's this sticking out so i'm just lyrics the camera well there's my stick though it is it's quite hard to throw my screen so on the back of this e so as i said i usually work from right to left with this one so you start by making one loop and then you make a second across the second loop around back for that first one and just slip those two over the top of what you want to tie off to and if you've done this correctly spin that around for you you should get this nice little cross at the back there okay now there's another couple of ways to tie in this which i'll do a later date with you're gonna be practicing the clove hitch that is the simplest way of doing it okay but that however you can use this on a long standing tree or whatever you can use it to make your guy line but personally i wouldn't because it does have a tendency to come a little bit loose but wow we shouldn't do actually I could pull that as high as I want that's not going to come off that's really that's really so we tighten up but I don't use it the time I guidelines some people do and issues with this knot is if you are using for a guideline I've pie apple I've generally pull that tighter now and it's quite hard to it's quite hard to want to do actually so yeah that's why I tend not to use it because especially the cold it's winter you don't be fiddling around trying to untie your e tight not release implies go through it again so you get your cord got your loose working end so you bring met one loop just like that they make another loop I'm always bringing I sort of said that actually I'm always bringing this back end facing me on my side of the working end okay and then crossing them over put them over your stick and away it goes just not that actually clove hitch as always thank you for watching with the clove hitch I am going to revisit the clove hitch and go through a couple of different ways of I get my southern the camera a couple of different ways of tying it is very simple knot but it can be a little bit fiddly if you can't get a hang of this one straight away please do stick at it keep trying it can be a bit of a pain it can be very frustrating but it's actually very easy once you've got the hang of it what this is one of those not ones you've got it you've got it in you just remember it forever so as always thank you for watching guys please give me a like subscribe Asher around and keep keep watching you
