it with some turtles it's Creek here with black outdoors and today I'm going to be doing a video on the Maxpedition micro pocket organizer this was sent courtesy of South Lake aam I want to thank Butch at South blade for sending this and a few other products so if you could if you want to go check out South lead he has a really great selection of knives and tools and gear and he's constantly adding new and cool stuff new brands so check that out but getting into the product this is the black color option for the micro pocket organizer actually on the website this is going for at South Blade coms fourteen dollars thirty-nine cents this is the black color option it's constructed out of 800 D nylon features pretty much the same sort of manufacturing techniques or styles if you will fabrics a little bit later nylon then you would see on other Maxpedition packs whatnot but 800 d plenty of durability features the Teflon fabric protection coating triple poly coated for you know some water resistance all that the dimensions of this it's a little bit skewed just because of how have it packed right now but basically it's about five-and-a-half inches this way length width is about three and a half inches and roughly an inch deep if you want as you see it's a little bit more exaggerated because I have this packed it's not really flush as a perfect you know rectangle volume but nonetheless it's a decent size decent size in the way of its small enough that could be fit into a pocket if you wanted and large enough though this still carry a decent amount of gear I'm going to go through it talk about more the specs and then sort of give more of my impressions and how I'd like to use this and how I have been using it so on the outside here there's a grab handle bar tact you know this handle will come in handy if you are putting this in your pocket give you something really easy to quick and grab you now trying to fuss with get through you know trying to grab the actual the organizer itself and grab this slide it in and out bar tack on the back here little mess stash slip pocket in the front here I guess I think I just have piece of paper jammed in there for now you couldn't really put anything too bulky in this on the front you can see yeah I just have some scrap paper or whatnot some old old notes it looks like I like carrying scrap paper for plenty of reasons features one single YKK zipper paracord pool like you see on all Maxpedition products open it up and it kind of butterflies on itself or opens up butterflies if you will to different designated sides on this side right here on the outside of the stash pockets on each side which I'll show there's about I think this is one and a half inch size webbing with some nylon stretch to it and over here looks like just one inch but have a winger Ranger I really like this tool really like this tool and this is a Kershaw blur I have it clipped right now on this webbing but if you wanted you could turn it back here depending how it's going to sit and on the stash pocket you could clip it back that way as well you choose and it has again each side has a stash pocket and behind this one I have just a regular lighter regular bic lighter really great piece of you know kit to have as well can't completely rely on lighters but nonetheless they are really really useful and then behind that I just have a few band-aids always nice to have some Bandys always carry some of my wallet as well and that's all I have back here and then there is a little I don't think this is paracord but nonetheless there's a little bit of a loop here to attach keys if you want to slide back here whatever you can use your imagination but just on this side right here over on this side I have a regular pen which is almost pushing the limits of being too long to fit inside of this but nonetheless a pen carrying writing utensils a lot next to that I have a terra lux flashlight this is the light star 80 and again this was courtesy of Bush at South Blade so I want to thank him again nice little flashlight I believe this is going around 20 bucks on the site why I kept to keep this in the kit for one reason because it's just a cool little flashlight got a clip on it but also because it has this little push push back design right here and it is a little bit too big for this that depending how it rides in what pocket you can see that any pressure here it's going to turn this on as opposed to a twist or feels a little bit shorter probably have that issue so just it's something to keep in mind I probably won't carrying this I won't carry this flashlight in this just because of that or if I did want to what I could do is just take the batteries out and reverse them that way there's no chance of this turning on and off and wasting my battery life something else to keep in mind don't have anything in the middle compartment but they're going to have a mechanical pencil over here and and a regular sharpie and behind that it's just a little rolled-up piece of nylon cord this may be know maybe a 5 foot section something like that and then just the fair rod and striker firesteel fair rod and you know that's basically all I have all I have in this and I've seen some videos and people really really really fitting a lot of gear into this which is nice because you can but once you do that it's never going to be comfortable to ride in a pocket unless you're wearing a cargo pant so my I guess impressions that if I am going to carry this comfortably it's definitely not going to be in one of my front pockets or my rear it's going to be in a cargo pocket just because I don't like bulky things in either of my front or back pockets just because really lose mobility and you know as a true EDC this it's going to be something you need to wear on you at all times and I really don't like things restricting if it's going to be a really easy scene you I've said that before multiple videos and I've done knives EDC knives things of that nature I don't like things really big because I don't like it - you know restrict movement I like the feel in the pocket if I'm going to be wearing it all day all the time and I could fit more in here absolutely could fit a lot more in here but like I said if I'm going to have in the pocket I really don't want to overdo it it's not going to be comfortable and really just not practical at all and actually show it trying to get it into one of my pockets right now show you what I really don't like it with the amount of gear I have in it right now it's just not comfortable I do have a carabiner because potentially be a little bit more comfortable if you were going to turn this into like a bush kit and one to keep on you at all times more of a survival kit or a small trauma kit depending on the activity it's not the bad idea and throwing out that bad hanging off the belt it's a little bit heavy if you were wearing sort of a utility belt it would be nice if there were a loop or some Molly back here the larger Maxpedition and other type of pocket organizers have some webbing back here to be out attached to the belt and or Molly but for this size this would be really nice to have just a little bit of webbing and it wouldn't be that difficult to do I guess your own mod to put some webbing back here but that's one possible way and for instance there's nothing in this pocket right here this is a pair of Dickie Dickies work pants you know this will fit in my pocket you can see how much how much of a swell this is I take this out and put it back in yeah it fits not really concealed and it's not really going to be comfortable if I'm trying to go through some sort of movement it's just really you know cumbersome but the grab handle is nice make it really easy deployed out of the pocket and even in the back pocket take out my wallet again it fits

but it's just cumbersome and as I move I can just feel it just a little bit too much but it's easy to get to and get out of but if out of cargo pocket that's where I'd want to carry it but ideally if I was carrying this type of weight I'd rather have it on that belt that way the weights supported by my belt it's on my hips and I'm not it's not on the fabric not moving around on my pants but nonetheless it's a nice little piece of piece of kit to have because I really like compartmentalizing my gear and specific kits in my bag that way if I want this or this or this fire food sharpening you know anything like that it's all designated in its own bag it's easy to move from bag to bag get into when you need it so just these small little pouches kits and large are just really great to have for organization and just you know quick access to your gear if you have any experience with any type of other pocket organizers things you like features you'd like to see on some that maybe weren't present on here anything like that please leave a comment let me know hope this video is helpful if you have any questions specifically about this product let me know I try to answer it if I didn't cover in the video remember to check out blackout doors comm check us out on Facebook check out blackout on Instagram this is correct signing out with blackout doors later Turtles
