hey was so Turtles it's creek here with black outdoors today I'm going to be doing a video on the square or a reef knot and this is a not everyone should have in their not arsenal it's very simple it's effective and I'm just going to get right to it and show you how to do it and basically the square reef knot is used when you have two pieces two ends of cordage anything and you need to you know tie them together this can be used when it's there's not gonna be a lot of quote load or bearing on a lot of weight on the snob but it's really effective I use it all the time and everyone you know should have at least it's very simple knot and not arsenal so to start I got my two ends here I'm going to take my left over the right go down underneath it once and pour it here and now the top I'm going to reverse it now I did I start my left or right I'm going to do my right over left go down through the hole that I've created and once you get that and I'm gonna pull it tight and you know you've done it correctly when it looks like the pieces of quarters are sort of hugging each other you have this quick clean swoop from one side and this clean one from the other that's when you know you've done it correctly and I can actually tighten this down and really make it nice but that's basically it I'll do it one more time take my two ends take my start with my left over my rights is how i start i did my left over my right go down underneath it once come back up so then we have this and since i started with my left I'm going to do my office and put my right over my left this time and bring this down and I have that and they should mirror each other and I pull it tight get that sort of i like to call it the hugging effect and there's bends that look like this to that sort of hug each other and i can pour tight and that's basically basically it really simple really effective I said everyone should have it in the arsenal not arsenal it was easy understand this is correct signing out with black outdoors later turtles
