hello everybody and welcome to another video in today's kit review we're going to be taking a look at this my Viking styles possible pouch from the very talented Paul duré bushcraft decided to do this kit review now because this bag has started to get a lot of attention people ask me where I've got it from whether or not it's available in handbags tile for the ladies and just generally why I carry a possible pouch I'm not gonna go into detail about why I carry a possible spout that information can be found up here on my belt kit video that I did a while ago I have changed my belt kit since then so i might do an update video the most notable thing is i've added an axe to it and but yeah go over and check that video video out if you want to have a look at why I carry a possible start this video is going to be having a bit of a close look in detail about the build and quality of this particular piece of equipment so the first thing that's notable about this particular possibles pouches is but it's slightly different to the standard version this this pouch that poor does and I've got it on dangler loops is the main thing I asked for dangler loops because I wanted it to be arm's length so that I can easily access the pouch without having to kind of be working up here and I find this kind of bent elbow movement quite uncomfortable so my arm is full length i can easily write even look in get in and get what I need out of this pouch I have got the option to take the bengals off and I've got the standard belt loops on here as well but I prefer it would be with the danglers on it's just much more comfortable for me to use so I'm gonna head go ahead and take this off the belt and we'll have a closer look at the build and the detail in this in this item

so one of the first things that drew me to this pouch in particular was the design of it I really like this traditional style look and the fact that it's writing style kind of kind of interesting me I don't know whether this is a Viking sort of pattern that will be used I can't vouch for that but I know that Paul knows his stuff so if you say it's a Viking style pattern I'm going to assume that he's researched it and checked but the other thing that I really like about it is the shape there's kind of book it shapes it's got that rounded bottom so you can we cram things in there but the size of it as well it's not too big to be overloaded because sometimes it can be tempting to just load loads of stuffing but it's not too small I can fit just that just the right amount of stuff in this that I need to have in there so just as a quick example what I've got in here today is ew's must standard carry kit I've got a little notebook pair of gloves which come everywhere with me it's pencil my knife sharpening kit and I did have a small flat jack in there but that as that's long gone I was hungry earlier on so I've got night that Ethan I really like this clasp design as well it's so simple and so easy to use and Paul makes these little wooden pegs himself I think this is birch and it simply just tied on on the inside here using this little knot and to fasten it this little tab goes over this little loop and then we push this through the fact that this is a kind of pointed end means if it's a little bit over full I can just put it through a little bit or if it's lentes is now I can push it right through and that is really really solid all of the edges olive leather is chump is that hand chamfered at the edges and hand-finished so it's really nice and smooth there's no rough edges on this at all and the stitching is hand-stitched using synthetic sinew all the way around these patterns along the edges are all hand put in I really like this just this just nice finishing touches to make this into a nice piece of a nice looking piece of equipment as well as being functional and also on this one I've got FB for us to bushcrafter which has been hand stitch

on as well the main material for this is hair on cowhide and I like this I chose this because it's quite distinctive I liken it stands out and when I'm working with kids in particular they really like this they want to touch it and they're not sure its real but the panels are finished they're not just sticks together they've got these these piped edges which are hand-stitched inside again it's all using this synthetic sinew you can see that on the inside as well back again hand-stitched double layered here on these loops it's good it's three milbridge veget on leather I think it's hand hand either hand stained and what I really like about this pouch now is you can really start to see clits been worn on my belt for well over a year now it started to two were in and get these nice signs of actually being one I really like that and a piece of equipment particularly a leather piece like this got these little scuff marks or scratches on it just gives it a little bit more life and a little bit more character all the metal fittings on it which actually in this case is just these D loops for the danglers are all solid brass so they're not going to corrode or not going to wait you know work away they're not cheap one of my issues with a lot of the leather work stuff out those the leather works fantastic when the fit into a cheap sort of zinc plated fittings I don't like that these brass ones they look nice and additional then nice and sturdy and the ideal for the outdoors the same thing goes for the buttons on the dangler loop that I've got here so the solid brass poppers as well on there and they just pop in like this and I can never remember which way around there you go that's it and then it's double double fasten so that isn't going to come off in a hurry so in terms of quality of build absolutely stunning as I said it's been on my belt for over a year and the materials are starting to show a little bit of sign up just not damaged but just where all the stitching is as hell absolutely beautiful not a single strand of this synthetic sinews come out of place it's settled into its role very very nicely this little Burt pegar started to get its own little patina really like that and reasonably waterproof it is bedtime so it will let water in but I can put stuff in this and I'll stay dry and it's just a really really handy little pouch and it's nice and Paul is a great guy is great great to kind of work with if you want something to do it it does these standard and you'll also do custom made ones as well I can't remember the price of it off the top of my head I think it's around the 35 pounds mark but don't quote me on that he's also started to do courses where you can go to see him for a day and you can make one of these yourself and works in a variety of different materials and make some absolutely stunning stuff so folks there you go that is the Viking style possible pouch from a Paul duré bushcraft fantastic leather worker get over and check out some of his stuff i will put a link to his facebook page in the description below and there will be a link in one of these card things over here and to his youtube page where you can actually see a video a video slideshow of how we actually put this exact palps together he did it II did a video of that which I thought was pretty cool if you've enjoyed this video and you'd like to see more content like with like this please consider supporting me on patreon the link is in the description below and probably in a card up here as well if I remember to put that in thank you all for watching I hope you've got some value out of this video please like share subscribe comment all of that stuff and I will see you in the next video thank you for watching
