sub turtles Creek here and stony trying a little different style video today where it's almost going to be behind the scenes and I'm going to be filming a little bit more going to be switching the camera it's going to be a whole different dynamic for us filming a video because I'm out doing some gear testing out a new pack one so really it's just going to be impromptu little squirrel running across the path sort of like impromptu video sort of behind the scenes style

it's like a good enough spot to stop plot the old beat seat down a little quote from late winter scalp you

check this out I'm sitting on my bag haha I don't know why this is so cool it's really simple design I don't think it's anything new in the realm of ice fishing I believe people who are in ice fishing understand this bad concept it's been around but not on the wet ground not on a wet log that's so cool you want to share some things I brought a new product of my something I made out this is a little field notes cover that I made veg tan leather that I hand dyed I hand I everything myself so I really like to give a modeling effect or not just a solid color I really don't like that so I try to give some texture sounds coming out this is really small you can see the size of my hand you know it's a field notes you know I like carrying notebooks I like writing by hand so I thought I'd make something like this for myself and I'll probably put some in my store and I really couldn't figure out a really clean and convenient way to keep them a simple design by putting a pencil holder on this if you're using a pen or pencil you could always just clip it on the inside no issues but if you wanted to use a pencil to sort of what I came up with yeah really simple it's kind of cool I really like the way the dye turned out the color just a little show-and-tell what

alright so as you seen where we are right now in this mountain valley next to this cold trout stream the ferns the rocks the down trees it is rattlesnake heaven out here and that's kind of what I want to share a story about it was probably a few years ago stoney and I were out here filming and I was getting a fire started we were right by the waters edge you know pretty much where I'm sitting right now and I was stood up on a log kind of surveyed for a second and then jumped down and purpose up and snake right under the log that I just stood up and jump down pretty much like 10 feet from where we were hanging out you know setting up camp and stuff so when I'm out here um there's always the level of uneasiness to a degree because I know there's a lot of rattlesnakes out here and that's not my only experience seeing snakes out here before we used to ride our bikes out here a lot we named a bridge that crossed the creek Viper bridge because we've seen on multiple occasions timber rattlesnakes right around that bridge so they're out here it's worth it to keep that in the back of your mind so that when you're crossing over logs are walking by vernal pools or water or the ferns where they could be hiding in there it's just to keep that in the back your mind that there might be snakes around and careful where you step sort of look ahead of you you know four or five steps to see because they're so well camouflaged you just never know that's pretty much you know my little first go around at tales from the creek I don't know we're going to do now I think we might give each other a little tick check go real primate on us look around our backs and stuff because stony was just setting up this frame and a tick jumped on him and he pulled it off of him so we're going to look at each other the spots we can't see and I don't know probably is hang out for a little bit the sun's going down and prizes leave so that's pretty much it alright so back again i know i said i was finished soon as i ended that frame of creek from the tail tails from Creek I went to look at stoneys back like I said look for some text and yes there was one crawling right on the shoulder right under his a shorter strap so just took it off and it clung to is a shorter pad then I was acting like a little a little squeamish and knocked it off but I freaking hate ticks
