what is up turtles creek here with blackout outdoors as always and today we're going to be showing you new gear that's coming down the pipeline this is a little bit of a different style video for us I've never really done a sort of behind the scenes with gear that's coming up for testing and videos but my brother and I thought it'd be a good idea just to share what's coming down the pipeline bad old Dick Dale was that dick day I don't know I think we just skid to it let's just start looking at some gear so here we have the feel or even Steuben pack and this has been featured in at least one video before but what's new about this and what I didn't have then were side pockets one on this side and same exact thing on the other side and these are attached to the bag with a system I've seen fiala even used before on the free lift force bag we've done a review on what's nice about this bag as you can see there's nothing in this bag at all and this is the frame because you can actually sit on top of this pack and use it as a stool in the force so I'm really excited to do the review on this pack and share with you my experiences and thoughts alright moving on despues have a couple different products from snugpak and these just arrived still have the tags kept on them but this is the hammock cocoon this picture is sort of illustrating what this hammock cocoon does and essentially it's basically a long under quilt that still has enough material that wraps around you while you're in your hammock and then zippers a full-length this is the first of the hammock camping accessories I'm snugpak i want to show you this is the bigger of the two let me get out the other one this is the hammock under blanket from snugpak as well and this one packs down a little bit smaller see the picture there so this just is underneath the hammock and you and I'll pull it out because I have it stored in a pillowcase brain fart instead of stuff sack because anything that's down synthetic and or natural you really want to keep it not stored in its stuff sack you want to put in a pillowcase or a t-shirt just something where it can stay aloft and not under compression too long going to take a little bit of it out just so you can see its material and construction what it's made out of you have one side of the under blanket which is just this I'm not sure exactly what it is not going to speak and I'm not going to give too much specs pretty much with anything I show you this is just a brief overview and get you excited about things i'm excited about and then the other side other material is almost like this diamond diamond pattern stoney actually has a lightweight sleeping bag from snugpak and i've been impressed with their quality i know other people have as well and then where this attaches underneath the hammock to the tree where i'm not sure exactly how i'm going to configure this by some really nice thick shock cord thicker than i've ever seen anyone some outdoor equipment you like that base jumper jumped off New York City Tower stuffing must shoot real quick before the police come moving on we've got another pack this pack will probably get priority once I finish reviewing and testing the steuben but this is some condor outdoor this is the sole big assault pack not sure if I'm pronouncing the name of the bag raids Sol bei G like I said condor outdoor sent this to us front of the pack has this extra piece of material put a helmet extra layer you can cinch this up haven't used this pack yet like I said this is just showing you what's coming down the pipeline some Molly on the front underneath that side pockets yeah that's it keeping with the pack theme I'll be showing you two new packs now with a brand new company we have yet to work with and which I'm excited to work with let me grab those packs or start with one of them here we have the mountain Smith World Cup pack and this was a design i believe is in the 90s make sure exactly when but it's a design they already made in the 90's for let's say world cup so what's that bicycling bck it is numb but they did some updated features to the packs design and this is the barley colorway and i'm really excited to test these packs out or release this one I'll show you the other one we have laptop compartment in there there's a really cool expandable pocket on the front that was designed to fit a bike helmet and some organization in there you could really use it for whatever you want and both these packs are made out of khadora which is one of the reasons why I chose these packs really cool design just a zipper top load style bag instead made out of code or two water bottle pockets on each side one on each side to total I'm really excited to try out this bag and let me share the other one we have making the noise again this is mountainsmith packed same in the same colorway barley they're calling it and this is the Grand Tour which is again a 90s style or design from the 90s I'm trying to say the 1990s that decade that they updated again in rereleased and I believe this one was for cross-country skiing but because of the utility of someone maybe one to carry their skis on the pack I thought it would translate well to things that you're interested in and that I'm interested in as well shock cord on the front again two pockets one on each side for a water bottle or just additional storage and this is made out of khadora as well just a little point i want to mention look how big these zipper pulls are these are really really big zipper tracks as well yellow on the inside as well some organization on the main compartment one more item to share with you today from Crick's gear closet back of the pickup truck rig showcase that's the stuff sack that's not what I want to show but I say so it's riding outside of stuff sack right now and this is a Down throw 700 fill down throw there's about 60 x 70 inches and the reason why I'm showing this today and we're going to be doing a video on it because this is a really great buy this is an ultra light and it's pretty thin but so far just a little bit I've been messing with it farting around that it's pretty warm for its size and weight and this is by double black diamond and this can be purchased at costco for those of you in the states are probably familiar with costco it's like a big bulk store for food and i guess all types of stuff i only know how to describe it but this was twenty bucks like i said 60 x 70 inches different colors now cost goes like a membership only you can find these on Amazon but the price of 20 is only at costco so i'm going to use this see how it goes and like i said all of the gear I've shown it's going to be reviewed on the channel in the coming months into pride next year as well and like I mentioned previously sleeping bags hammock under quilt blankets anything like that should be stored in a loose-fitting bag or sack you don't want any of the material under compression as it's being stored because it's just going to decrease its longevity and loft now it's time for a few closing thoughts with me i bought my truck about five years ago when i was living in California i bought this cap or shell got a couple months after i bought the truck and on this back winch deal of the rig those Pistons or thingymajig never worked so I've always used this foosball handle to prop it up like I said before this intention of this video was to just show you gear that I'm testing now here that's going to be tested and what's coming down the gear pipeline from us so it's just a you know give you a little insight and you know kind of look through the window to see what's going on behind the scenes with us new gear we're excited for and if you
