what is up Turtles it's Creek here with blackout outdoors and today we're going to be carving some chopsticks and treating ourselves to a forest delicacy it's a little unknown fact that actually vine-ripened gummy bears are ripe right now in the east coast of the United States I'm just kidding so this is just another relaxing therapeutic video for me to film and for you to watch let's take a look at the wood though what we started with tulip poplar and this is dry wood by chose tulip poplar just because it's really really easy to carve even when it's dry and you can spend as much time on these really simple chopsticks as you want you saw me put the Swiss Army knife and just start taking really quick shallow cuts trying to round it off smooth it off as much as I could I don't know if I'll keep these I'll probably leave them in the forest but just a fun little project you know if you're eating a meal and you forget a utensil if you're eating something noodles or pieces of meat big vegetables whatever chop sticks really easy to make and ridiculously handy I think I actually might make a pair of these that'll keep and I'll use nicer wood than tulip poplar a hard wood but nonetheless I enjoy the day out in the forest so as always thank you for watching thank you for your support to our patrons on there thank you until the next video this is Craig with black outdoors be sure to go out and enjoy the forest she's waiting for you
