hey what's up Turtles its Creek here with blackout outdoors and today I'm going to be doing a video on how to set up the Eno one link hammock sleep system now the the one link comes in this nice ripstop stuff sack depending on the options you choose for the one length the price will vary but what I have in here specifically cost two hundred $19.95 and what that includes is the double nest hammock nylon hammock a set of four Easton stakes this is the tarp this is the pro fly rain tarp there's a couple different options available for the tarps set of Atlas straps and the Guardian bug net now to start getting the sleep system set up I'm going to start with the straps and as a rough rule of thumb to go by you really want your trees to be out the distance of your trees to be roughly 17 feet apart I'm just going to fill the other strap next to the other tree I'm going to go to next undo the strap get the corresponding strap on the tree the other tree next step is getting the hammock set up and personally sew the hammock isn't dragging on the ground I'll grab one carabiner put the rest of the hammock over my shoulder that way it's not on the ground not in jeopardy of becoming torn and just kind of eyeball it at first and at this step is where you want to get the comfort if you know how you like to sleep in your hammock this is the step you want to adjust for comfort back up kind of eyeball it now see if it's kind of centered on the tree where I want roughly after you get the hammock set up the next step in the process is the bug net and before I get the bug net up I need to put up a ridge line and E&O says or suggests that you can put this from tree to tree that you have your your hammock straps on but the cordage provided is not long enough so what I've what you can do and what I've been doing is just attaching it to the actual suspension strap for the hammock and I'm going to go up three from the loop that the carabiner is in I'm going to go up three and that should give me enough clearance now I'm just going to put a slippery half hitch in here on the one end and on this end I'm going to put a taut line hitch now I got my ridgeline up pull a little bit of tension on it get out the bug net now there's a few different ways you can put this bug net up to kind of thread it through the hammock I'm going to show one particular way it's pretty easy this way I don't mind it get the bug net out find the zipper in it that runs perpendicular to the ground

so open up the bug net I got the bug net open now so what I want to do is make sure before I try to thread it through make sure on each end that it's open to its full capacity this one's good this one's good

under the hammock at one end remember which hook which loop I have the hammock in

pull the carabiner through and then re hook it on do the same thing for the other side

and then once I got that here I'm going to get this I want to get this off the ground I want this dragged on the ground for that long get up one hook and then go to each end and tighten this down this way so no bugs will be able to come in through this possible cinch that up really nice and then just go down the bug net and hook the loops on the ridgeline and make sure I keep the zipper because I don't want any mosquitoes going in there the next step I'm gonna get the tarp up now I want to find this Ridgeline and drape it over here so again like I did in my bug now I don't want this touching the ground so much so as I'm working with it it's not going to be touching the ground now this doesn't come with a Ridgeline this doesn't work with a Ridgeline system but what it does has is cool little weather setup option that the line lock right here which I'll demonstrate then in a in a moment undo this Hank and now attach this to the tree

go to the other side and do the same thing

now at this point once I have everything anchored I'm going to slowly pull in the line lock which is a cool feature and bring this tarp under tension and center it over the hammock I'm going to pull in the line lock and try to get it as best as I can Center directly over the hammock and the bug net it's going to be up a little bit higher because as I guide this down it's going to pull it down and get a little bit closer to everything now the last and final step get out the stakes for stakes and start getting them in and kind of judge the angle where it's going to get the best tension on the hammock pop in the steak and there's actually a hole in the steak I'm going to thread the guide line through and this problem is coming a little bit of tension on here to get the tarp pulled out and I'm going to go around repeat this process and I'll do a final tensioning once I get all the stakes in the ground

get a little bit more tensioning now in each one on this side I'm going to call good walk inside now do a little inspection make sure it's kind of even I have where I like it and that's basically all there is to it now I took my time with this setup you can definitely do it faster Stoney and I are making sure we get the shots I will sort of explain things as I went but you can definitely get this up a lot faster once you get practice once you understand the distance of the trees a part that you really need them and how you like it a few things to keep in mind when you're setting up any type of any type of camp make sure and there is a checklist that you go through this checklist of what makes a safe and appropriate camp just keep that in mind any type of camp you're setting up any questions about this set up anything you want to add you know anything like that please leave a comment this is Creek signing out with blak outdoors later Turtles
