Gear Ties by Nite Ize | Field Review

Description

Krik of Black Owl Outdoors takes a look at the Nite Ize's industrial strength twist ties, Gear Ties. While they may seem insignificant, they are infinitely useful. Use them to secure just about anything to just about anything, and do it quickly and easily.

hey what's up Turtles Creek here with blackout outdoors I wanted to share with you a really cool inexpensive and versatile piece of gear equipment that I've been using for a while and I have two of them on my pack right now and one of them is holding my cooks go to my pack and I have another one securing my stool on this side of my pack and these are gear ties from nite ize if you're not familiar with what these gear ties are here I have one thread it through some webbing and attach my cooks cut to the outside of my pack and these come in different lengths different colors some of them have different even attachment points on the end sort of like loops if you will and basically what they are there's a wire inside of this and it's a rubber out rubber coating on that set the cooks get down I'm just going to open this up to show you the length of the ones I've been specifically using and they usually come in packs a two or there's assortment packs or whatever there's a whole bunch of options available from this but here it is kind of opened up the whole way and it has a really nice texture eyes drebber grip on this to help secure contents to whatever you're gonna use this for they're very very versatile I usually come packaged like this sort of fold it over itself when I guess I before was just a wire on the inside of this rubber and I've been using these these two I have in my bag probably four six seven months now so I feel confident and and honestly recommending these because it's metal there's a wire on the inside of this you can see pretty much any configuration or shape I want to you want to put them in that through time obviously any metal you're going to be bending like this the molecules are going to fatigue and they're not going to keep the shape as well but honestly for how long I've been using these like I said I feel very confident in recommending these here's the one

I have the other one on this side of the pack sort of securing my stool higher up here and even with a couple wraps that I have you know not as much length as I had on my cooks go with these this is still very very very secure and I'll show that you know kind of just marry the ends and just twist them around each other and I'm gonna yank on this really hard to show like this really isn't gonna budge at all you know look at that not budging at all super secure go through one of these holes in the handle give this a nice twist it's relatively secure as it is the nice thing is that I can just sort of mash the sides sort of into the contours of the cup holds a shape and holds it that much a little bit more secure and I think for these sides I want to say these are the 12 inch lengths and depending where you buy from four or five dollars for a pair of two for a pair excuse me which is two obviously I really think they're really nice convenient and super versatile you know a little piece of equipment that can make things it's a little bit nicer for you know it's easier for attaching attaching things to your pack or or whatever can use these anywhere that's pretty much all I wanted to share with you today about these about these gear ties from nite ize and if you have any experience using these or any sort of creative ways you've been using them let me know always looking to learn little tricks from from you out there and your experiences when you're out in the forest do any questions about these or anything I didn't really cover let me know if you if you like the video pop a thumbs up and I'd like to remind everyone that we are now participating in YouTube tip jar so that's the way for you to support the channel you can go to our homepage on YouTube our channel page and there's a little blue support button you can donate some funds to help support the channel if you like what we're doing if you like what we're doing pop a thumbs up so yeah that's pretty much everything everything I had today for you this is Creek sounding out blackout outdoors later Turtles
