buck hunter congratulations on your 100 + + subs buck is having a challenge the challenge is going out in the bush I'm trying to make yourself a useful bushcraft tool and that is exactly what I'm about to do and what kind of tool am I going to make well I didn't write in the title because let's spoil the surprise so you'll see it when it's done and buck I'm going to obviously use some wood natural cordage knife and little salt I'll stay tuned now what you're going to need to make this tool is roughly three pieces like this two pieces about a foot long each this one doesn't really matter four five six inches we have to recut this one anyway these two pieces you know about the same size in diameter if you can so we're going to be working with these three pieces the first thing we want to do is line these two here and you're going to want to mark I like that what about them you want to keep the bark as the bark is going to help you a lot for if you don't have any measurement instruments so just about two inches you're going to do it just cut yourself a little line so you can see both of them I got my two lines right now what you're going to do is from these two lines down here you're going to start cutting up words you're going to leave this bottom piece round like it is for now and you want to take about you know just about you know well you can make it the size you want there but just take enough off maybe a quarter of an inch is what you want to do is flatten this side and you want to do that with the two pieces so I'm going to start doing it and as soon as I am ready I'll show you what to do next alright

now that you've flattened you're both pieces right from the mark down here you left remember two inches this piece is still around you know obviously in any piece you'll never find anything straight so you're gonna have to do a little bit of adjustments as you flatten this now that it's flat okay get the idea now once these two pieces are done I'm going to take your feather piece and you're going to put one side you're going to adjust it here remember your mark just mark it there and do the other one on the other side and you just take your knife let me do this a second I know that it's down here so I'm just going to mark it hey she's marked do the same with the other side not the right side here right

so now I'm going to mark on this side so now my two sides here are marked now i'm going to wait before i show you how to do this one now the next step this round piece here you want to bring it down flat but at an angle like this ah it's hard to show in the camera like this at an angle I'll do it and I'll show you what I mean just give me a second let's take the bark off first a little bit so you know where you're going get as straight as you can you see what I mean you got an angle in there now you do the same on the other side the other piece I'm sure you guys already know what I'm about to do you do the same thing on this side and then from the marks you made on the big piece you're going to flatten out two sides as well but a little bit on the slant the other way so let's say I'm like this now you're going to want to happen you're going to want to go in like that right up to your mark so let me finish this up and I'll show you what's next ok now

so first thing you adjust this piece remember this other angle you fit them together make sure they make AV like this okay

now this guy here if you can see it but you just go in you save the top and you just go in so you have two angles going down a little bit not too much then you try and fit them see if they're going to fit

that's perfect

you

hey now the next step once you're holding this as you are going to once you're there nicely fitted you are going to mark like this one have a mark on this piece here on that piece right at the edge of your other piece here okay I'm just going to mark on this side I'm going to mark on that side loop she slipped smark on it mark on the other side now what you're going to want to do from the mark about an inch from your mark up you want to create just a little groove like this okay not too much just a little bit more and I explained to you why you need to do this in a little while

ok mm-hmm

so now you've created this little groove both sides okay from the top here look something a little bit like this remember your piece here put that solid here

such see if it fits nice see how much more wider this became now you know what this is going to be right now why this why do you make a groove here well because of this it's going to make it more springy when you do use it right it's going to make it more springy like come back more easily right but ok next step before tying this up you got one more thing to do and it's on both ends here so let me do that and I'll be right back

right so thank you for your patience the last thing for tying these together and you make grooves at the end why grooves well so be less slippery okay so you got this piece here your two other pieces make them fit choose a nice fit there remember doing these grooves circles here because it's it'll make it more springing at the same time will enable you to close your two pieces now I guess you've guessed it already what this is uh in English in English mm-hmm Tom's I think anyway this is where i'm at now what's left to do tire up stay tuned i'm going to use some spruce root this time I got it small enough I didn't have to split it so we're just going to roughly tie it I just did a rough job there rough job of tying it is to show you need to tie it up hey

now what you could do is what you could do is make it you know cleaner well you can do is make it cleaner you could you know saw this piece off right here make it nice and round you can round off the tips hey but hey looks great Chinese anyone all right so this is it hope you guys enjoyed it buck I hope this is going to be the right video for you thanks a lot for watching guys appreciate all your support and again buck congratulations on your hundred Sol's my friend keep up the good work this is microphone bushcraft barks bye you
