so I'm back on one my favorite short tour Rivers it's too bad that the water is a little quite a bit too low but simple we're not so bad well so so far we don't have to get out of the boat once so anyway we're here two nights enjoy wilderness this river is uh well we can paddle anyway without boring is 17 kilometers 17 clicks not quite sure what it is in miles but it's a beautiful river you've seen it before my videos maybe two three times [Applause]

[Applause]

keep on truckin yes close [Applause]

okay all right should we go right in the middle keen those two rocks are completely to the right which would be safer it's soap ah let's just do it yeah okay let's see you guys [Applause]

you guys get soaked [Applause]

so now you see the importance of them well I should say driving a canoe but maneuvering a canoe oh wait a minute look what I see from here hold on see if I can this river those are the Falls we were at okay so boy is neat to empty out the canoe a little bit is there fish in the canoe no fish in the canoe okay I believe you had some water nice [Applause]

so usually oh we have maybe 14 kilometers to do slowly got a headwind a little bit usually I have my Josie with me in front help me out with the rocks once you see some so when you get into these little these little gosh I can't find my English words anymore Rapids you know it doesn't take much of a rapid to make it flip in the water those are small but the rocks make you flip right in there usually I have my that's it I'm not talking English anymore you can't find the words my teammate that's not the word I was my wife Josie that's it yeah a lot of you have been asking about Josie well she's been working hard this summer but towards the end of the tour she of August you will see her we're planning a maybe five-day canoe trip a mixture of stuff Mountain she wants to climb and then three nights on a pretty big river do a little bit of fishing and stuff but this is one of my favorite small rivers well it's a fair-sized river vibing the distance there's only 17 kilometers and you know we stop here and there usually it would take about three hours this time of year because there's not much water the flow is not so quick but yeah it's the beauty I mean you're surrounded by big mountains I hope the wind is not too strong right now so try and avoid some rocks so far I only I think I got out of the canoe only once but I gotta keep an eye even see look at that yeah the wind is blowing sideways keep an eye on stuff look at all those rocks right here okay some stuff coming up okay we'll see what you have to do here get in there there you go enough water here I have a feeling the canoes going to a beautiful mountain cliff there see that how beautiful that is okay I'm feeling I'll be hitting some there's not too many areas here I can go where there's a lot of water I'll do my best avoid this rock here need to stay in the middle here stay in between those two rocks Mike Bart you shall be okay good job nice between the two rocks [Music]

[Applause]

[Applause]

get into those trees now perfect perfect good job [Applause]

you guys are doing great Haley meaning there's enough water that's a good boy that was beautiful well let me tell you something in the summer there's no better place than in the canoe for me personally nothing beats it not even fishing what hmm okay I take that back maybe it's pretty much equal but not even coffee no I think I think it comes pretty much close to coffee anyway if you can get into a canoe you will not regret it [Music]

[Music]

[Applause]

[Applause]

[Music]

that's what we call a group of canoers oh boy this is gonna be running out of water here too let's see sharp turn it's gonna hit see that view I'll try it well of course the camera it's not give it justice right okay I gotta concentrate and where's the water here [Applause]

sorry I can't seem to stop opening this camera just too many beautiful sceneries but this is kind of a canoe trip so there's gonna be some canoeing haul okay little obstacle here maybe if I want to stay where there's water let's see we have to take it from here oh that head win is not helping get a life head win okay and I'll turn around hit it right straight there ya go look at that scenery folks [Applause]

breasts with mashed potatoes mountain house now all right I haven't tried all the mountain houses I don't eat much of this and I don't like all of them but I've tasted so far I like some of them this is the first time I actually try this one so we'll see together let's put it down here so you can have a look to hear or second oh it actually looks like mashed potatoes and chicken need a little bit of water in there I guess what anyway let's see that looks like mashed potatoes oh that's good that is really good oh gosh you have nice chunks of chicken in there Wow the size of this chicken over here I got to cut this up the size of this piece of chicken man chicken breast that what's hot with blue I put a little bit too much water [Applause]

sorry for the background noise there's some construction going on here yeah but just a little bit too much water that's my problem I never measure but hey you never tried the chicken breast breast and mashed potatoes I think I'll give this I should say almost an 8 out of 10 hmm hey there's cheese in here too okay I like this my favorite was always lasagna and something else I can't remember but now this one is becoming in my favorites recommend it so Paul and Jeremy are into serious vegetable business here it's all that gonna go into Paul but he does fajita yeah healthy meal Wow

that's it boy that's it they're gonna be a happy camper you're gonna be a happy boy [Music]

smells good Paul what did you put in the onions I put hot bleep Tabasco sauce Chipotle Tabasco sauce and this yeah my n dozen or something here put this in your onions as you cook them [Music]

okay so today was a pretty full day very exhausted it's a midnight don't usually go to bed at that time but tomorrow while they're announcing 90% rain so we'll see what tomorrow will bring you guys have a good night or good morning well good morning to you my dear friends way for this to cool down perfect so round 1 o'clock started raining then not not too much stopped around 2 o'clock Oh Thunder rain pouring rain or at least more than two hours two and a half hours until 4:30 at least and by looking at the sky it's not looking like it's gonna be and I stay we have a lot more of it you know and that sky has become like uniform gray well I know weather guy but anyway they're always wrong so I can be wrong too right sorry if your weather man that was just a joke yeah when it's all you have you know uniform gray yours know what I mean it's not looking too good so if it rains too much my I think what we're gonna do if we're comfortable under that tarp maybe just carve up something Paul public continues parakeet he's advancing pretty well maybe I'll carve a spoon I don't know but one thing for sure there gonna be a fire going all day mosquitoes are out oh yeah they're out oh yeah Oh help me but I you know what sorry about this camera work I have nothing to complain about bugs here it's awesome

nothing I mean yeah we had her on the river we had her deer flies gosh horseflies but not too much and as soon as we got into the woods well I thought for sure you know black flies mosquitoes no nothing just a little bit you know a little bit of dusk that's it they were gone so super super that way so anyway I'm not sure how I'm gonna open the camera first you know this thing's not waterproof so it's gonna rain again virtual yeah beautiful gray right there anyway I'll open the camera once in a while okay

you know it's been a while since I've burnt myself I'm becoming pretty wise all right go for a little walk before it starts raining and so talk to you guys later

[Applause]

using a piece of seasoned maple it's a little harder to carve but so much more long-lasting

[Applause]

nice grain in this maple you're asking for the knife no I've had this knife for almost ten years now made in England by Gareth Townsend he doesn't make them anymore perfect knife for carving it's not too big I really sharpened it so right now I'm just slowly doing the bowl taking my time then I'll work on the handle part this part here slowly coming down here nice grain here I've given away all my spoon so I needed one so being as a rainy day now the rain has stopped but it will keep on raining and sure as well you know enjoy myself by a fire it's nice and dry here even though the humidity is like 92% good by the fire it's

a little bit at a time slowly

but surely it won't be this long shorten it may be up to here let me take half an inch off or something I'm just gonna be my typical spoons right same just about done there are a little bit of sandpaper with me so if you didn't see it I decided to leave

no you won't see it just to make it a little different I decided to make a little let leave a little swell there in the middle so will sander [Music]

so that's what she looks like me another sanding lower grit or higher grit I mean it's gonna have some I'm liking this well actually it's pretty cool let me get some water see what it looked like or what it would look like once I finished sanding and oil it up this would yeah

same as if it would be oiled hey get up I got a little nick there to fix up yeah that's gonna make a nice solid spoon Hank

a bad think I'm liking it usually I'll burn some stuff but I think this one I'll keep it as is but of course my mind can change yep pretty satisfied so as you can see we're in a camping ground I have to readjust the tarp being lower because the rain was coming this way about like that and that was just fine but it's not stopping sadly that's my old DD Amick tarp when I use to camp with a hammock so let's hope the rain stops if it doesn't well this will definitely be the end of this video because there won't be much going on and playing staying warm around the fire and maybe doing some more carving and eating and just relaxing not much you can do when it's raining [Music]
