hi my name is Mike Barton from Gustav Barnes welcome to episode 3 of questions and answers

[Music]

all right so let's answer a few more questions here I have three the first one is from Elizabeth M do you like to go camping cooking one day or several days well Elizabeth I I prefer several days the reason why is this I'd say a minimum of three days up to seven well for me anyway personally when I get to the third day it's like you gettin more into the groove of things the first few days you're you know a little bit everywhere doing stuff but then the third day it's like you're mellowing down and you're really enjoying yourself right up to the seven days I mean depends what you're doing obviously but to me it would be a minimum of three anyway so yeah I'd like more than one for sure do you Elizabeth for your question just I add to that you know back in the day I could do it more often now it's not as much during a year I'll do it maybe two weeks you know separated to seven day trips or something like that but I used to do it more often now not as much but I still stick to that third day at least minimum okay so second question mr. bill oh please forgive me sir

Maxon bill Maxon I hope I'm pronouncing it properly okay do I have a favorite place to go fishing ah I used to have you know favorite places to go fishing there's especially one you know back in the day I go every year spent at least seven days there but my mindset has changed when it comes to not just fishing but overall okay check that out check that out there's gonna be a blooper wait blooper on its way folks blooper on its way

can you stay like that until I answer the question okay yeah so my mindset has changed when it comes to going places and that's quite a while now I like to go to new places all the time now that's been like that for several years every year I want to beat a new place it doesn't matter if it's fishing or just camping canoe trips I would really want to explore if I can obviously it's always you know time-consuming and and finances and stuff but that's why I like to do the most now try not go the same place once you know sometimes you have to when you're filming but but normally I like to go and find new areas especially here in Quebec in the province of Quebec it's pretty big I think it's 1.2 or 1.5 million square kilometers anyway it's huge it's the biggest province in Canada we have over a million lakes maybe three to four thousand rivers one hundred and thirty-some thousand creeks I mean unless the numbers have changed if my memory is correct those are pretty close and I don't know just 10% of the land is populated so to give you a little idea for you guys in Europe we're almost just the province not that the country the province of Quebec is almost three times the size of friends and you guys in the US the great state of Texas we're almost two and a half the size of Texas so it's a big area there's a lot to explore a lot more than a lifetime and you know to be honest with you every time I go out for an errand or whatever I'm on the road and as soon as I see the forest and this is honest to god I want to stop the car and just go in the woods they start a fire and so yeah explore new areas got lots of areas to do so I'm hoping to do more in the future God willing so thank you Bill for that question hey third question from D beak a guy how did I meet Billy well those of you guys that are new to my channel probably don't know Billy but I've got several videos I'll just maybe put one Billy's a real good friend and he's very funny and he's very knowledgeable he's got a lot of adventures done and he's got books written he majors in history especially the you know the Pioneer era and all that stuff so he's a very smart guy but the way I met him is through someone else now sorry I don't remember your name but this guy had a project here in Quebec and he wanted someone who was you know skilled a little bit in the woods and also someone who was knowledgeable to accomplish this in Quebec for kids so that's how we met you know the three of us that's how I met Billy the first time and well sadly the project does not work there's the blooper is staying in the video hold on I want you to burn okay so sadly the project did not work but starting from that day me and Billy got into contact and started having some great adventures together and a lot of fun and he's just a great guy right now he's like very busy so that's why you didn't see me do anything this year with him but hopefully in the year to come or next year we'll probably do some videos what I'll do in this video specifically I'll put two videos yeah I'll put two videos at the end of this one so you guys can check them out I remember the very first video we did together was in the middle of January man it was cold just under a tarp we had a lot of fun but it was cold anyway all right so thank you very much again for all your questions again like all the other episodes I would like to know your what do you like do you like to go just one day two days three days two weeks what's your preference and also do you have a favorite place to go fishing that's a good question so I hope you do answer that I want to see and read your comments I always enjoy stories and I'm sure everyone else will enjoy reading them too and until episode 4 this is Mike from bushcraft Martin's bye you
