a quick video what is the difference between neutral white and cool white well according to through night they are the only ones stating that they have this technology the neutral white so this video is to see what the difference is all about now as you very well know why I'm no expert in flashlights but it was asked and I've seen questions about it and I thought we'd just take a quick look now I am using the TN 12 as a reference 1 the one with the clip is the NW neutral white and the other one is the cool white this is not a review for the TN 12 if you're interested in that well I have done that already we're just gonna see the difference in lights in this video they say that the neutral white is a more of a yellowish type light it's warmer and it actually the light penetrates a lot more when it's misty outside or even in water which I guess is logic because if you know it being that's yellowish maybe it reflects less the light towards your face so you can see better it's a warmer light a natural light they say so what we're gonna do is I'm gonna wait till it gets dark I'm gonna take some shots from the inside and also outside okay so we're gonna make a few tests obviously we're inside take a look at that picture up there so I'm gonna start with the neutral white now obviously I'm far from being at the hi I'm not a thousand lumens there and it was a six second a third second so that's what gives you and of course it's not the same the camera is not showing the same as what I'm seeing mmm it's very warm actually not hard for the eyes okay let's try the other one now this one has a more of a bluish greenish tint little harder for the eyes let's see oh yeah

this brings the natural color of what you're aiming a lot more and this one see that I put them on the side the other will see it more outside maybe yeah a lot better if you want to see the actual color more naturally anyway okay let's try something else here I'm going to pile of wood little pile of wood there with some chaga on it so let's try the neutral color okay

try the other one now see here you see how much more a little yellowish it is so let me move it oh yeah for that I gotta give it that I mean it lights as good as this one but much more natural it's cool okay let's try one more thing let's try them a bag let's go with the neutral color now of course the camera is not showing it but I can see the true color of my bag let's move that that changes everything

yeah

and it doesn't light less I see it I see it a little bit better because it doesn't reflect as much in the eyes and it's like more it's like deeper it's kind of I'm not using the right words probably but anyway so okay anyway it gives us an idea indoors let's check let's check it out doors now okay so we are outside right now I'm about that there's a little snowbank well where's snow bangers I'm about let's say I know maybe 75 feet from it I can't aim too far because it tends to be snowing and I can't really when it snows it just reflects too much and he can't get any and he like to go through anywhere so let's start with the cool white well of course the cool white on the snow is just amazing okay let's try the neutral

it's nice

let's see the difference between the two see the difference there can't aim too far the snow gets in the way but anyway there are two nice lights obviously with the snow maybe the snow wasn't the best how could I call it the best background for this of course the cool white is kind of nice and bright neutral white is nice and warm though that's for sure they're both great lights I guess it depends on your personal taste and preference but you know I both like I like both of them this is warmer I don't know if it penetrates more they say it penetrates more when there's water or mist and that's normal because it doesn't reflect as much you can choose whichever lights is better for you for sure this one here the neutral white is a lot warmer doesn't hurt the eyes as much

thanks for watching
