hey folks microphone Bushra Barnes today in this video we're gonna be talking about coffee coffee we never talk about coffee in your videos well a little bit but this is gonna be different it's pretty special when I was at the Nova Scotia bushcraft gathering Rob gave me some samples of this company that make these coffee cubes and it's pretty interesting

[Music]

okay so this is it it's made by let me see Jeeva coffee cubes see that Jeeva coffee cubes let me read a little bit now they have different variety of coffees here I think there's four there's hazelnut vanilla normal coffee maybe something else I can't really remember but these are I'm gonna read exactly what it says vegan gluten-free non-gmo Fairtrade and made in the USA so organic coffee Wow let me just take one out there give you the real size of it look at that how small that is so this is exactly what it looks like no cream just sweetened coffee now the sweetener they use is sugar cane from from the sugar cane and what's holding this piece is actually the syrup from the sugar cane so pretty cool if you take this and take what I usually pack okay I'll hold it cuz it's gonna fall I could pack

one two three four coffees instead of one concerning this now I don't take I don't usually drink coffee without cream but in this case I don't know there's something I've tasted obviously already it tastes great I'm not you know I'm not used to good coffee I know if this is good for people or not but it's good for me anyway concerning the taste cuz I can drink it without cream it's not so bitter and you have different varieties as I said I have no idea how much this cost as I said this was given to me but I just wanted to share this because I think it's a pretty cool invention especially for us outdoor people that like coffee you can either put this in a Tupperware or a leather bag imagine a leather pouch I mean imagine bringing you take the ones that you like the taste you leave it in their package and you just put them in and of course it doesn't say on this plastic but you can write it down the top hazelnut or vanilla and imagine how many coffees you can bring quite a bit so what we're gonna do we are going to boil some water and I'm going to show you the real time of this because it doesn't dissolve like instant coffee as quick it's not that long it's maybe 20 30 SEC but you need to take time to dissolve the the syrup but at the same time what I've seen or realized is that as I am stirring in the hot water it gives it time to cool off a bit so I don't burn myself every time when I am in a hurry for coffee it stays hot but not as hot as when you know the instant goes right away now this is by the way instant coffee but hey it's organic organic okay so let's go to the fire and boil some water so we'll boil up this water and we'll throw the chunk or the coffee cube inside once it's boys okay so there's some instructions drop into 8 ounce of boiling water after 45 seconds stir to enjoy so that's what they say to do so it takes about 45 seconds but I'll do it a different way so this is just boiled hot

so let's drop her in see if I can get any closer you so you can see better thing is still boiling it's not even in the so I understand what they mean of course 45 seconds it's already gonna be ready but let's just do this real time and start stirring a bit coffee's too hot anyway so

my way may take a little longer but when it's done I'll be able to drink it there we're at mmm it really smells good though

well I think this is the hazelnut almost gone now it's really almost go there I think I would take about the same amount of time what do you think maybe I took a little longer than 45 seconds okay let's taste a hazelnut they tasted the the other one not this woman no it's been five minutes I'm pretty sure that's ready for the taste test so I don't know if you guys counted but I just like to stir it right away of course when you're in the woods I mean it's not like you're at home or at work letting it boil over the fire and putting it in and you know you want to take it off the fire I think it goes as well just my personal opinion okay you know what it's it's really good as I said I I need cream but this coffee is different from any you guys know that I'm no expert with coffee all I drink is pretty much junk you know whatever is packable I bring it so I'm no expert but this one with no crane I have a little bit more than 8 ounces I have maybe between 10 and 12 ounces and it's not too sweet and it's not bitter it's how can I explain it hmm could I say a soft taste I know I mean I'm weird yeah I could definitely drink this absolutely absolutely absolutely drink this now it's nice and rich and dark but no bitter taste and really cool so anyway again I have no idea how much this thing cost maybe it's over the top maybe it's not but hey it's very packable you can bring a lot more it's got a good taste I mean you don't need to bring anything else right just that cube thank you finished I'm not sure about the price but I give it a thumbs up for sure so Rob thank you very much for sending me these giving me these at the Nova Scotia bushcraft and anyway you guys try them out if you do let me know [Music]
