BLACK KNOT FUNGUS!

Description

NOTE: 4 days after visiting the shelter good weather came by and started to really melt. Visited a forest that was facing South and not North like my shelter. What a difference. I fell upon something I felt I could share.

Showing that this fungus is not Chaga even though they look similar..Please visit our website http://bushcraftbartons.com/

alright guys just taking a little walk in the woodland you know just behind my my house and I came upon something that looks a lot like chaga and I remember if i'm not mistaken there was kanessa and somebody else i was trying to show me and identify if that's what it was and i told him it wasn't and now i've seen them here you might try and let me try and get it close here hope it's gonna focus

and it's not focusing much is it anyways that looks like chugga from here you even see a little bit of orange and stuff I'll try to get a better picture of it a little bit later but this is actually called black not fungus all right it's a fungus that's not dangerous to humans but it's a tree killer it's going to attack especially the fruit trees you know like cherry trees and you know all that good stuff now it's called black not I know it doesn't look like a knot but this is a big version of the smaller ones here now I'm gonna try and get some give me a second there this is not working try and get something decent so you can see it all right so this is the small what you call black not fungus ah let me see here the lighting is not the best but another piece here here a bigger one that's starting to grow on the tree right there see it looks typically like chalk out of the black and orange but if you want to you know be sure if you can't identify it just by looking at it you just take a look inside inside this tip you know typical would so let me get closer to another piece so I can show you all right here's a closer look at your typical black not fungus and it's smaller version now if you guys are acting asking if this is this has any uses absolutely not there's nothing good about these but you know all you do is kill trees so again let me try and find a bigger piece show you the inside there's some nice pieces of chaga just kidding looks like it but still that fungus right goes in big chunks now it's that small piece right there if you dig into it

you're going to notice would now sometimes the wood will be wood color because it's fresh or you know this is newer sometimes it'll be more orange but it's typically just wood that's inside so there's a difference between your black not fungus and your chaga hope this helps thanks for watching had to show you one last one just incredible how it can look like chaga see little orange inside and black but again it's not it all right this is the last one
