when you're doing this when you're splitting it sometimes it's going to have a tendency to go more on one side when that happens you take the thicker part here and you bend it more to bring it back in the middle it's hearts shoulder on camera I'm trying to concentrate

okay have enough of this anyway so after splitting it just put yourself some piece of stick to keep it open so you can sharpen them and you just take your time there's no rush actually this video is not how to make a spear but anyway just to show you how useful the spruce root can be as natural cordage so let me finish this up and I'll get back at you right I can tell you something you know the natural cordage you can find I don't think that there's anything that beats the spruce root because in this sense natural quarters is always difficult you know it's time consuming you know it takes a while but when you need something fast and strong right away spruce root beats all of them now i know my spear is not perfect i just done it fast because i wanted to show you you know how solid this is i mean it's it's not moving from there i just i know it's a little bit messy there but top I put very tight here at the bottom so would stop splitting and around my my openers to keep this open to keep these stable these things are not moving and I just you know went around then I went around the these pieces here don't have the word for it and I just finished with your normal square knot here can you focus for me okay i know my points are not perfect i would need to harden them but here you go spruce root very effective little tip when your spear fishing now sometimes you see in the movies or they'll go like this you got to have a deep water to be able to do that like that if you're at a small smaller river where you see that you know the ground the bottom of the river don't go like this because you'll be busting your your tips here and you don't want to do that all you need to do is slant it a little bit and try and get the fish from its side like this right this way you'll have a bigger you know target to hit from the side and you won't bust your tips so screw Cyril guys amazing stuff thanks for watching you
