NOTE: There were no animals killed nor any graphic images in this video. If you are someone who is against hunting, snaring, trapping or you think that this is not suitable for children to watch PLEASE DO NOT WATCH. Any bad language/Negative comments about this subject will be removed.

With all do respect there are a lot worse things to watch on the internet/YT for children to watch than teaching them a way to catch food for there belly during difficult times.

Obviously you do not try this just to see if it works nor waist food just for the fun of killing.

I am writing this because of bad experience in the past.

This should be done ONLY in times of great need.

Thank you.

I'm going to show you a very simple and effective way to snare a squirrel the easy way with no bait at all now during the winter winter is always the easiest time to track any type of animal what you see right now here is a typical track of a squirrel that you know comes up and down this tree here one thing that you have to do if you want to install this type of snare is first of all finding exactly what you see here you see a track squirrel track go and you know that he's going up and down this tree quite regularly regularly I mean and that's what you want to spot first the second thing you want to do is find yourself a you know a dead fall like this a dead branch about you know two inches in diameter and what you want to do is put this right where the track is just like that going against the tree as such now why do we do this well first of all you know first thing is that there's a squirrel that travels here in this tree so knowing the squirrel when he does travel here a squirrel will always take the easiest way up he won't go around this and climb there you're going to take the easiest way up and this is where you're going to install an easy snare so everybody knows how to make a snare right so I'm going to just just going to put this here for a second install it first now again squirrels like rabbits are always one of the easiest food source and you can you know get if ever you're caught out there now have enough wire here for two snares but anyway this is just for a demonstration so put this back as such and you want to leave your loop as close as you want to your branch here your piece and you know to treat because we know that you know squirrels can stand tall but when they start going up or running they'll Crouch right down to their belly and hopefully you'll catch one now this is an easy and very simple way of catching anything well anything a squirrel any way without bait now you can install I don't know how many of these very easily and the more you put well the better chance you have in catching anything let me just say a few words to conclude concerning any type of you know deadfall traps snares spring snares there's a lot and a lot of good traps out there there's a lot of people who are so smart and create these wonderful traps they are a little complicated but wonderful but one thing that I would suggest is try and remember or learn the easy ones now it doesn't matter if it's a snare or if it's a deadfall trap or a spring trap remember the easy ones because we don't do this every day it's not like we do this you're twice and three times a week because we don't so if ever you are stuck out there the complicated ones won't help you out because you won't remember them but these simple ones here will and it's not to put down the guys that make excellent traps it's just you know reality and what I'm going to do I'm going to put a video response to this one of an easy if you didn't see it an easy not a figure for that fall but something that's easier to remember and easier to do as well it's called the split stick deadfall if you haven't seen it that would be another good one to remember so anyway hope you enjoyed this video and thanks for watching this is microphone bushcraft buttons alright so this is what it looks like you know close-up if you can see it so squirrel goes up into it and boom it's done believe it or not just before I pushed on record there's a squirrel right over my head throwing stuff at me don't worry I won't catch your buddy okay anyway this is not a live I'm not going to catch one to show you alright because YouTube has a lot of people they'll probably be upset and well I'm not going to get into that but anyway keep in mind two things here keep your traps simple for two reasons if you ever need them in the woods you'll remember them more easily and secondly you'll be able to set up a lot more of the easy traps because that's what you want you want to set up a lot of them so you can catch something you're going to be able to set up a lot more than the complicated ones even if you do remember one or two again guys you guys that make wonderful traps it's not to put you down it's just you know give my little opinion on this my two cents so thanks for watching this is Mike from bushcraft Parton's bye
