so very sorry folks I have to make this video inside it's really too bitter cold out especially when I do these kinds of video

[Music]

I just have to hurry up too much and I miss up on things I want to talk about and just to let you know tonight they're actually announcing -39 with the windchill factor Celsius of course I think when you get up to that number I think it's the same in Fahrenheit so that is why you're seeing this video made inside okay so these are knives made by David new styles that he's produced now if you remember David David's story I had made a video about my Raven knife if you don't know about his story I will put a link at the end of the video it will be in your screen on this side somewhere I think so make sure to watch it it's a very interesting story God actually you know preserved David's life from a tragic accident and anyway it's just amazing David is a brother in the Lord and God is using him now to make knives as a hobby of course what's incredible about David is that he has one good working arm and one good working high so I mean it's it's almost a miracle to see that he can still make knives as good as these now he doesn't concentrate on having a perfect polished blade and all those things it's not an artwork for him but what he likes to produce is a reliable with strong material good knives that will last so let's take a look at his first model that he's created here they all come both of them come with Kydex sheath that he made they're both tech lock compatible they both come with the same material same steel CPM 3v super steel and g10 so right there you got I mean best material for strength endurance and to last forever almost if we'll well taken care of okay and he also makes the sheath which overwhelms me you know it's pretty incredible alright so let's take this out now take a look at this cute little model here now that's his logo here and 3v take a look at this isn't that pretty amazing I haven't seen a model shaped blade like this before now I've played with these already ivory sharpened them so you're gonna see some you know those scratches here and there this is his hunter blade a small hunting blade and I know that David has a good friend who is a a hunter that you know he loves hunting and he's used this knife and he loves it it just goes well and I see why it's very small lightweight and very thin blade hey so I can become like extremely sharp you know easy to skin skin a deer whatever it is you hunt debone you know cut meat this is his little hunter I could even go further and say even though he created this for hunting this would be a prep knife you know utility knife prepping food all that good stuff even small bushcraft tasks and even though the blade is very thin you know it's a little thinner than 1/8 I can't really remember sorry about that but because it's 3v it's strong now why do I love 3v well sorry about that let me get you a better

look here for a second I love 3v because it's tough okay now it's in the family of super Steel's it's stuff it keeps an edge like crazy and it's not that hard to resharpen even though it's considered a super steel I mean if you take care of your knives and don't let them come dull like a butter knife you'll be fine all my knives now I just drop them that's it it's very rare though I'll use my Japanese water stones on on on on an occasion if something happens but it's very rare also even though it's a high carbon steel it's rust resistant quite a bit it has that what's that name a good percentage of chromium something anyway it will rust but I'll take a lot longer to rust and you're a to Oro one I don't know there's something about the color of 3v it's like a white color that I love so anyway to start with let me get a measuring tape and measure this for you guys not just in inches but also in centimeters okay so it's time to measure let's start in inches so the blade is just about three and three quarters in inches and nine point five centimeters so an overall of seven seven eighths and about 20 centimeters let's take another closer look of it I like this design goes down still have a nice little belly right here very easy to sharpen and even though it has a four inch or so handle it's very comfortable especially for these

small hunting knives I love it to be a square like this or triangle because of the different grips let me back up you can hold it comfortably like this this way this way and even when you do the pinch grip for smaller tasks your small your two fingers and palm here are very comfortable on the flat surfaces it's not like you have those round big round scales so for this type of knife it's great now the g10 I just love g10 because first of all it's indestructible and the way that he polished this is practically perfect he polished it just enough to see the nice lines but not too much so it becomes too slippery now you can hear that and this thing my dear friends slice is like crazy I just love this little blade and you know what it's tech lock compatible okay so you can either put it vertically horizontally but because it's not so big I tried it that's why I put this little lanyard here this would make a great neck knife as well having this knife as a neck knife or a small EDC you know it's got strong material it's sharp it cuts well I think that would be a great choice I'm liking this knife okay let's take a look at the other one now alright so this is the other second design that is absolutely fantastic I don't know I just love it I love to use it it's a good slicer it's strong let's again Kydex sheath I put a tech lock for hard horizontal carry I'm right-handed so it goes on my belt this way right so again nice Kydex sheath it's not coming out so here it is folks look at that you see it's a continuous arc starting from the butt of the handle and a slow gradual drop point I love it I just simply love it it's got a whoo gotta be careful there

he's got a high scandi which I love too it's about 3/16 of an inch this knife also feels very comfortable in the hand now I'll be honest with you that I am a round handed type of a guy when it comes to bigger knives but Dave had done something with this one that is not annoying like others the problem ok with these types of knives when you use it long term you know for quite a while it will eventually hurt right here because of the sharp edges but look what he did he made it in two different angles okay you got this straight angle then you got another angle then it comes flat and each edge is rounded off so it's very comfortable it's very comfortable even though it's flat and again any type of grip you need to use it will hold even again the pinch grip for whatever reason those two three fingers and the palm holds great

ok so let's measure this guy right now we shall go in inches so the blade is four and a half ok overall of 9 inches centimeters about

11 centimeters over all of 23 centimeters now the cutting edge is about four and a quarter and the centimeters about ten point five centimeters I like the space that he left here you got your finger groove here your you know what I mean but I like the space here for easy sharpening or you can sharpen easily the whole blade this thing is just a work of art it functions so well and it's so comfortable

take a look at the beautiful point that's in three V I mean it's a monster strong it's just great David those two knives I mean there's just super and of course does 3b sharpen well well let's see let's have a little bit of fun just back this up so it backed up let me put it up a little higher here let's see if I sharpened it well what I will do is let me put this higher I need some space I will just drop the blade I won't put any pressure just drop it of course being behind the camera I got to watch my fingers here okay so I gotta catch the right angle here ready that was that a trick ooh pretty sharp okay now this edge will stay sharp like that for quite a while now this here is my fault zone but anyway these are not art these are tough functional blades very well done let me show you the difference in size with the other one here you go and you know what I look at these two and this is a cool setup a cool setup to bring in the woods you do your main bushcraft tasks with this guy you know prepping your would even batana if you baton and all your fun stuff and with this you're prepping your food prepping or if you're hunting and all that you got to I mean it's perfect you got one on your on your belt and the other one around your neck or both on your belt whatever I think it makes a great combo something else that I want to point out is how he smooth in here this is so comfortable normally this is square on on on typical knives every part of this knife is comfortable every part of it this is such a fun knife I mean very lightweight now david has let me show you this one here - what are you done see how smooth and nice and round this is very comfortable and again you see nice control over these knives now of course david has he doesn't mass-produce these okay you know because of his condition and all that but he does have other options like wood lignum vitae probably didn't pronounce that right it's got carbon fibre scales you know different stuff now this guy with carbon fiber scales would be just an awesome

featherweight strong tough knife that this would be awesome incredible okay so let me put these back there's one there's two so what I'm gonna do if you are interested in these or you just want to talk to him I will leave his email address in the link below and if you're interested you can contact him and again he doesn't mass-produce them but I know that he's got blanks already preheated blanks ready to go he's got two ready for this one for the bigger one and he's got nine for the smaller one so email will be below contact him if you're interested and remember there's gonna be a link here pretty soon to the raven knife and david story it's a real incredible story thanks again for watching and again david my double thumbs up this is Mike from bushcraft Barton's bye
