hey guys first of all I'd like to apologize to all those that in the past month or so tagged me for different tags there's a lot of people that done it stinking of that one tool option and the five-minute fire five-minute shelter I'm sorry guys I just don't have the time to do it not because the tags are not interesting it's just time factory this video here is a tag and I'm doing it because the person tagged me on the right time meaning I have the time to do it's not by preference so you guys had tagged me please forgive me I don't think I'll be able to do him any time I'm busy all year but this one I'm able to do i was tagged by brave the wild kenny the tag consists of starting a fire with one spark and you have to use you know natural materials and you find in the woods

boil some water and then just use anything that you like that you know about that's natural to make yourself a teak

Kenny is very talented with his videos he is skilled he's clear to the point well spoken but what I like the most about Kenny is his age he's 14 years old so that's priceless to me because that's what encourages me to continue these videos now I'm not saying that because I inspired him it's just the fact that it's nice to see a younger generation pick up so well and you know he's serious about it and Kenny's that type of person

and even though he's only 14 he's a lot more mature than he than his age I me stop I'm going to leave his link the bottom of the stream so you can check them out and after this tag I have a tag two or three other people I'll see what I can think of so enough chatting I'm going to try and find myself a natural tender so far I've seen you know grass birch bark cattail so I have to come up with something else of course so I was thinking about cedar cedar bark

so what I'm going to do is I'm going to collect some got one right behind me and we'll talk a little bit more about it stay tuned like I have explained in a lot of my videos the cedar bark is doesn't matter if it's you know red cedar or white cedar this is white cedar is a great tinder now you can use the live tree like a dead one all I need to do is scrape the top layer bark of this tree now this is made especially for a coal extender now with the Pharisee rod it will not catch a plane okay but I'm going to do something else that you've seen already in my other videos to make sure it does catch so the first thing you want to do is just scrape some bark off

as you can see instead of strafing it all off so it doesn't fall on the ground so it's easier for me to pick it up I just gently bring it down at the end I don't scrape too hard so it stays at the same place a little bit like when you're doing a feather steak now this does not damage the tree at all as long as you don't get to the cambium layer you're fine this is a thick enough far

there's no way I'll get through this so

should have enough of this half away

save what evers fallen and all I have to do is let me so you can see better what I mean so it's already ready to be collected now I'm going to take that off the tree and we'll find something else okay so what you see in front of you is a balsam fir now I've showed in other videos what a balsam fir looks like you want identify it so you can check those out balsam fir contains already liquefied resin that you find in these bubbles there's small ones there's Biggers big ones or smaller ones all over the place now I've told you that this cedar okay bark here does not catch very well with just your Pharisee Imran actually it's doesn't catch it's a coal extender but what I'm going to do is mix up some balsam fir which is liquefied resin mix it up with the fibers and we'll see what it does under a spark so what I do is I put this in a ball and I will cut the bubble just under and then just push on the bubble get all that resin as much as I can just mix it up I won't need that much as long as i get my spark at the right place i should be able to because this tag is one spark if you can do with one spark see the resin there

so I'll wet so let me just gather a few more and we'll try it out so now I exposed the fibers that you know in front that's soaked a little bit with resin from the cedar bark now what I have to do is to try and get this caught for the first spark if I don't send the sparks at the right place it won't happen so let's see if I sexy right so we've got something going here now this does not happen all the time all right let me back this up a bit this does not happen all the time put this straight

so I just want to tell or say you guys starting with a Pharisee mourad even though it doesn't catch the first time don't be discouraged your normal especially with natural products I mean this doesn't happen all the time most of the time I need four or five six strikes at least to get it started this time it went well so I'm going to get the fire going get this come down to coals and we'll get some water boiling so the next step after getting my water boiled up need to find something natural you can make a tea with salt thinking that i use the resin from the balsam i'm going to use the needles from the balsam as well see the different shade colors want to use these small ones here this will be plenty 40 like any tea you make sure your water is boiled and safe then you let it take it off the fire put it in and wait about five to ten minutes depending on how strong you want it water is boiling safe to drink take it off the fire leave them in there for it's the first time maybe three to five minutes you'll see they'll change color with a green will fade away ready for me see the beautiful oils floating this stuff

so Kenny thank you for nagging me

again I leave his link below the screen you guys interested check them out I'm going to tag I don't know how many people at the tag but i'll tag i'm thinking of two right now first one I like the tag is God's marine one Reggie now what can I say about Reggie I'd like to compare him to candy a lot of ways he's very skilled he's young knowledgeable makes excellent videos and he's got a pretty cool talent with video editing you guys check them out nas marine one and the other one is way of the wild now these two boys guys you gotta check out their channel yes they're very young they're just starting and learning but we're very funny and they make it did a great job I just enjoy watching so God's marine one way of the wild unless you've been tagged you have no excuse I want to see your videos thanks for watching you
