before I get on with this video I just want to talk a little bit about comments I want to tell you guys and thank you for the effort that you put into your comments you guys are just awesome I just love reading them and enjoy it a lot but obviously I can't always answer them I know I spoke about this before but just to let you guys know that I truly appreciate them anyways I just enjoy reading them and have a lot of fun you guys have some great encouraging words and funny ones too and I just love them so forgive me if I don't comment once in a while I can but others I just can't don't have the time so just answer one question that was asked to me in all the last video concerning snow yes it did snow about two weeks ago it's snow two days obviously the snow didn't state you know it was just coming down and this you know the snow won't stay on the ground till the ground is frozen so that'll be a little bit later on where it gets a lot colder right now it stays at freezing at night and it stays a you know just below 10 + 10 Celsius which is about around 30 s and Fahrenheit so between 0 and 10 is our weather right now or 30 and 50 and Fahrenheit but right now we're having a warm spell of two three days which happens every year we call it here if I translate it Indian summer don't ask me where that comes from

I have no idea but it happens every year right before the coals that's it so just want to you know chat a little bit about your comments keep it up I really enjoy them and now let's get with the main video

you

all right guys drawing your boots in the bush well I just made a simple rack makeshift real fast

nothing fancy to show you how you can do this obviously my boots are not that wet you know I'm saying it's just an example now what do we usually do why don't we dry our boots just want to give you a little tip that's all we'll have a tripod or a piece of stick right by the fire and let's dry the boot now that's good it works but I'll show you a little more effective way and tell you why now when you try and draw your boots this way first thing if you don't tuck your laces they'll always want to come out always have to tie them up second thing it's wet right there's water inside so as soon as you heat up the water the oil becomes vapor and vapor goes up so heat vapor now where does the vapor go goes back in the boot vapor has no place to go so it takes a much longer time to dry your boot so a much simpler way and effective just make yourself a simple rack I like to do it this way two forks on both sides two little cross beams and then you can adjust it you know I can put wider shorter whatever size your boot is and you just place it on your rack and let it dry now this way don't worry the heat will go through this this way your vapor has somewhere to go out and your boot will dry a lot more quickly than if you put it upside down now again you always have to be careful when you draw your boots anyway any kind of way I mean you don't want to burn them because it's your boots you know they bring you places so you're keeping that a safe distance and you'll see that this way it'll dry up fairly quickly more than the other way because water has an escape route so what do you think I made all this just for drying boots we're gonna be cooking something alright guys quickly just to give you a little view over the top maybe from the side you heart to understand a little bit but there it is very simple and you need you want some adjustments take this here put it there and even wider put on the other side you know that's very simple all right so now time to get a fire going

now we're not just having Bannock something else and marinated this yesterday we're gonna do a little bit of beef jerky now it's not your 24-hour beef jerky but your fast jerky like maybe an hour and a half an hour and a half and this meat and the benefit B should be ready so let me just finish this up I'm going to be doing probably two of them and we'll get right back at you all right so we're all set now I spread out my see I change it I put it this way so they're long enough for my skewers and these skewers by the way I'm sorry guys I can't really I can't remember where I got them the make of it or anything but what's cool they're metal and they're nonstick so the meat doesn't even stick to it if you're used to doing it you know what I mean

and now we're slowly waiting for this lovely jerky cook so I say about Oh a short hour and a half Vanek and it's a waiting game right now but I still have one last thing to do before I can relax alright guys we're in a little survival situation here we adapted we improvised and we're going to overcome we're getting hungry and we can't wait an hour and a half so took the poll brought it down Vanek is closer the meat is getting there it's almost maybe thirty minutes and we'll be eating soon hungry is the word alright she's almost done Bannack is doing well starting to separate on the sides the meat is also doing pretty good another 15 minutes okay so the meats doing pretty good too we're gonna have a real treat well when you're waiting and observing and looking at stuff I found a dead root system right beside me and take a look at what it looks like you can guess it was like this never touched it to break off pieces all right crank crank right right right all right she is done she is down and sliding off that's one trick that someone told me when you cook banning this way when she starts sliding who's his hot she's done the meat is done as well give you a little glimpse that's gonna be some good stuff right there boys and girls so let us enjoy this great meal of course I got some more staying warm there then we have our coffee and that's gonna be the end of this video so stay tuned you guys know how I love to tease you so see this mr. Dilton - - that's good oh so close sir like this and look at this just go just amazing

or a jutsu uh you can marinate the way you like but overnight what I do is I put in a little bit of olive oil some water maple syrup and some steak spices that's simple overnight sweet and spicy good stuff

alright guys we had compassion on you and decide to leave you a few pieces not bad yeah I know you're grateful no problem now you guys have probably seen this before but just in case just thought I'd show you it's pretty cool it's called toe tabs dot-com tio W taps calm now what this is this is about 3.50 you've got something like 10 extra and this it comes with a little case these little round things in it now they're not very big each compartment is individual it's the size of a peppermint very small now what you usually do is or what they say to do anyway is you add just so that you know the that's this camera you add the amount of water in this compartment and it's done but I just take it you know after a meal you want to wash up a bit all you do is put it in becomes this size I'll call this is alright that's a fair size it's about ten by ten or something or so you can wash up

wash your face your hands where it needs to be washed up and you know what this is like

it's like cheesecloth a little bit you know the texture and it's got holes in it you can use this as a cover of wound or filter your water you know whatever and when you think that it's in here from this size to this size I'm running on the camera anyway this size this size hold on it's pretty cool and it's cheap very lightweight and effective just thought I'd show you that video we had lots of fun I hope you had some too and until next time you guys take care
