all right so today we're I want to check the campsite and with all the snow freezing rain that we've had I'm pretty sure that thing's a goner oh wow all right so you guys ready to see now remember what the campsite look like there it is well all that big snow pushing this way of course well the head I'm I'm actually surprised that it's not completely on the ground fire pits still there firewood my bed but this big heavy snow

it's almost ice pack now I'm not going under there have to wait till it melts in the spring to fix her up look at that tree out it's bending in the middle right here

well it could have been a lot worse so I was planning to have a coffee in my shelter

oh I even have some visitors of course rabbits have been in there ah now let's find a safer place you have a bench here somewhere

false alarm I way this could be deep I don't recommend to dig with your snowshoes okay because this is your only way out of the woods you don't want to bust them but I think yeah I found it right here

I just want to find the bench because there's nothing I need a stable ground I brought my fire box I need to put on some wood so I need something you know strong solid so I have to make myself some kind of a seat because this is going to be annoying working in a hole you know the timing and stuff but we'll figure out a way [Applause]

and should be fairly stable that take some snow off of it oh shit pretty pretty good there all right time to get some wood now working in a hole here not little behind ice is not helping me at all Stoller pieces

of course I could have could have used just two pieces like this put on top of the snow put the firebox on top but then I have no workbench put on my little pieces and there is no stump available because there's too much snow Oh a little bit of digging just makes it a little easier gosh the inside of this one looks like it's wet

give me a good piece here feel much better

so

maybe a little bit of work but not as much work as having to cut down whole trees making a fire on top of the snow I do plan on staying here a little longer than an hour could have made a fast fire on top of the snow like I've showed you in the past just to get my coffee but I want you enjoy a little bit my time out here

well I can hear it boil now so they cool off a bit well I could come back and shovel that but I know it's going to be this with a plastic shovel

it's not going to work or it's going to be a lot of work so hopefully spring will come earlier this year

last year and the may was starting to be comfortable

I remember in middle of the May was still pretty cool you know like +10 and the 50s and snow how hard it was a long winter last year and this year we've had so far a lot of snow we had a little break there a couple days ago where one in the plus and it went down a little bit but I'm hoping that this year the snow will leave quickly ah it's a good thing I have my old coffee to console me comfort me hopefully in March we'll be better so that's why you have so many indoor videos of product reviews and stuff I know I'm repeating myself but coming out here and this and this stuff especially in the spring wind starts melting every step you're going to take you're going to sink right down to the bottom so that's why I'm hoping and praying this snow is going to melt quickly this year so I can come out and enjoy myself a little bit more today's a beautiful day it's not cold it's about minus five I got some wood for another hour at least I've been here about three so it's been good okay so I'm rambling still want to tell you guys to go out if you can especially northern guys where you know what snow is and the pain of coming out here and the work it takes still take time to go out even if it's for an hour see I've been here three hours and it's first time I sit down and it's not just the filming you know traveling getting the wood prepared and stuff but it's always always worth it okay that's enough of me so expect some outdoor videos quite a bit like I used to more in the you know the spring and summer and fall course there'll be more product reviews and stuff oh I got something pretty cool that's coming next video that's something you guys are going to want to see and it's a an ax company anyway I won't say more but you should enjoy that especially if you're on a budget and you want something quality and know if you buy axes I'm not getting paid for that okay I'm just sometimes trying to find some good stuff or cheaper price because I get so many emails of people that have a small budget and they want to go out and I understand that there's a lot of stuff out there that that's expensive so I do my best and try and find some not some junk you don't want to buy junk okay I don't recommend buying junk but try and find something that goes with your budget and it's still quality and do the job out here come out here with junk you're going to regret it and you guys know what I mean by junk you know there's all kinds of junky stuff out there for important gear I'm not talking about plastic containers and stuff but axes saws knives tarps packs you know so that's what I try and do with each product

okay so I'm going to feed my fire enjoy my time I'm going to pray as I like to pray when I come out here this is this is God's creation folks and I needed this time so I'm going to close that thing and I want to say thank you again and I appreciate all those are sticking with me even though I don't have that many outdoor videos those that support me and like my videos and share you're truly appreciated you know why god bless you guys and I thank you so make sure you watch that next video that's going to come you should like those axes this is a microphone bushcraft part right one little tip when you come out in the wintertime especially when there's Sun wear sunglasses okay snow blindness is a real thing

and it's horrible and it's painful and the reason is know if you can see can't see much in the mirror in the in the viewer of the camera but see those little diamonds shiny stuff it's like little mirrors reflecting the Sun back in your face and that burns so make sure you keep your sunglasses on when you travel on this kind of stuff [Music]
